Seams pucker
These are comfortable, wash and dry quickly and are lightweight. The fit is fine for PS and XSP though a bit long. For desert wear, with low humidity, breatheability is not a problem (the nylon material doesn't really allow for good circulation). The belt isn't necessary with the ellastic waist. I usually just remove it.
The main problem, as I see it, is that they always look rumpled. The seams always pucker even though I never put them in the drier. Maybe the thread is cotton and shrinks? Please work on this!

use standard sizing!
Love the charcoal color and the fabric. After reading other reviews I bought a size larger than usual and even those barely fit! I agree with other reviews calling for more standard sizing across different products.

Way too Small!
Just received these pants today and I'm sorry to say that I must send them back. These pants are way too small! I ordered them in an XL (18-20) but their actual size doesn't come close to anything else I've ever had in that size. I would suggest to Travel Smith that they insist on their vendors meeting specific size standards in order to make it easier for their customers to rely on the advertized clothing sizes.

Too small
Whoever designed these pants with all the new snaps and buckles has never travelled in places without good facilities. And why are they so much smaller than the old pull-on variety. Will you offer those again? I hope so.

great travel slacks
I bought these for outdoor activities in hot, humid weather, as well as for travel. They're great for travel, but not especially cool or breathable in muggy weather. The pants fit well (maybe a bit small for the size) and the elastic waist makes them comfortable to move in, sit in, etc. Just three minor concerns: First, the pants will never look totally neat, as all seams are a bit puckered, even before washing. Second, there is only one dark color available. What about a charcoal or basic black, like the convertible version? Third, although I ordered a petite, the inseam is just too long for me (at 5'4"+). In flat shoes, hem hits the ground. Why are supposedly petite pants too long for someone at the high end of the usual height range? But overall I like them and I'd buy them again--in charcoal!

Please make these cargo pants!
Love the waist, the fabric, colors BUT please make this pant into a CARGO pant with velcro side pockets. Makes sure you keep back pockets and INCLUDE side pockets along with cargo leg pockets.

Why is clothing getting smaller?
I ordered a new pair of these pants to begin to replace 3 pairs I bought 6 years ago and still wear. Ordered the same size that is hanging in my closet and that I wear at least once a week.
When they arrived, they were far too small on me - I could barely get them on.
The updated fit is not "roomy" and I don't "buy" that the zipper/button closure gives a "more flattering fit" - an elastic waist is an elastic waist and should have been left alone.
The original pull-on pants were excellent. "If it ain't broke, done fix it."

Great Pants
I bought these pants in navy and khaki and just love them! The 31" inseam is great for me - I am 5'10" and have trouble finding pants that are long enough. The fabric is very soft and the pants can be worn straight out of the dryer - no ironing needed! The pants are perfect for travel or everyday wear. I'm a fan!
