Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Zip-off pants! As an amputee I mostly live in zip-off pants and these are hand's down the best I have worn. High quality construction, many features like the zipper on the lower pant leg makes my life so much easier when dealing with a prosthesis. Bravo! Downside? Need more colors. These seem to me to run true to real size. I love them! September 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Repeat User wants more colors I have purchased the cotton convertibles over the years. I am 5'9". the short size and waist offering is the main reason why I am a repeat buyer. This size fits me perfectly. I like the cotton version for travel and I think theyi are a little more dressy than the nylon. Cotton is cooler and safer on the body when sitting on a plane or car. I also use these at when I am at driving events where cotton or nomex is required. I zip off the legs when I am not driving. I did have a pair of The nylon which are great for activities where weight and the ability to dry fast is required, like traveling in a boat or dealing with wet weather. These pants have excellent construction and hold up well. I had one pair that I thought wore out prematurely and you replaced them at no charge. Another reason I am a repeat customer. These pants offer some zippered pockets that are some of the best protection against pickpockets in my travels. Could you please offer these pants in BLACK or return the GREEN color again? Please keep these pants in stock ALWAYS since they are a must have for travel. September 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great, especially for wearing on airplanes Overall, very good. I'd give 4½ stars if possible. Detachable lower legs reattach without too much trouble. I believe that Greg is incorrect in demo video when he suggests that the purpose of the red bar tacks is to help you line things up when you reattach the lower legs. The fact is, they only appear on the right leg, so I believe they serve to identify the right side, so you don't try to put the right lower leg on the left side! They do have a kind of puffy appearing (not really wrinkles) after going through washer and dryer, and this is worse with a little wrinkling after hand washing. (I am hoping for too much when I wish travel pants would not show wrinkles after hand washing.) They do weigh a fair amount, as another reviewer noted, but that's just one more reason to wear them on the airplane. With all the pockets, I can fit just about anything I might possibly need during the flight—hand cream, Kleenex, pills, etc. It's much more convenient having them in a pocket than having to dig through carry-on luggage, which may be above me and hard to access. I felt secure that in order to get to my wallet, a thief would have to get through a Velcro closure and zipper. And I used the front security pocket on the other side for keys which might just slip out and cause a lot of inconvenience. It needs belt loops on the side. Since I carry a cell phone in a holster on one side and sometimes carry a camera on the other side, not enough loops meant that these items usually pulled my belt out when I used the bathroom. Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable Convertibles I have been looking for Cotton Convertible pants for some time. Most places have discontinued them, or are discontinuing them. I found two places that still have them. The other manufacturer is in the process of discontinuing them. It turns out that TravelSmith had the more comfortable pair. They are true to size and have the adjustable waist band, just in case. I love all of the extra zippers to help protect items like keys & change from falling out. I now own 4 pair. I wear these pants everyday. The tight weave makes them a little warm in the summer, but they ARE convertible pants, so the shorts are nice. They have been nice in the evenings where we've had 50 degree weather. I've read where people want the Nylon pants back, but there are lots of manufacturers out there making Nylon Convertible pants. Please keep making the Cotton Convertibles. October 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Beware of Size Buyers of the Men's Bush Poplin Convertible Pants with adjustable waist need to be aware that the sizing of these pants is not the same as the ComfortSizer Waistband pants. These pants adjust DOWN in waist size whereas the ComfortSizer pants adjust for higher sizes. Thus, purchasing a 38 waist is good for 36-38 in the Bush Poplin. I am returning my pants for this reason and this reason only. The pants appear to be well made and designed except for the sizing issue. It would be best if TravelSmith were to include a notice for all of their adjustable waist pants as to whether the size adjustment is for that size and below or that size and above..... I bought two pairs of Comfortizer in size 38 and they fit great going up in size..... February 7, 2015

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cargo looking pants Baggy in the leg and seat area and tight in the waist. Fabric is ok (cotton). Nice idea but didn't work for him March 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wanted pick-pocket security I have a 35 waist which isn't offered. 36 fits fine. Ordered the regular length but inseam runs long - 32.5" and can't be modified due to the lower leg zippers. Exchanged for short length - 30"- which works ok. TravelSmith couldn't have been nicer- both shipments were made immediately and exchange was handled cheerfully. I would have preferred more zippers and hidden pockets but these pants are comfortable and don't look like I just finished a mountain hiking trek. For more security in Italy, I ordered pants with more hidden belts do work but are not the most comfortable in warmer climates. August 19, 2014
