Bush Poplin Convertible Pants 4.2 5 5 5
Wish you still had this in Nylon I have a couple of your Kenya convertible pants, with a similar design to this but in nylon rather than cotton. I really like those pants. Cotton is not so great for travel/hiking, and I really like the big cargo pockets with zips. So consider this another appeal to bring back the nylon version May 19, 2013
Disappointed with changes I have been wearing these pants for years. Still like them, but I am very disappointed that they no longer come in nylon and no longer come in dark green. There are many occassions when nylon is best. And the green does not show dirt as easily as khaki. Green is best for traveling. Also back belt slot seems to be more narrow so that I have to buy slimmer belts to wear with these. June 21, 2012
Great for golf Living in California, I get to golf year round. And I love to wear shorts--except when the tee time is early and the temp is in the lower 50's (or below). These work out perfectly, They're my second pair, and yes, the manufacturer has changed since I bought my first pair. The new ones seem to be a hair larger in fit, and the cotton is a hair heavier. I like cotton as opposed to nylon for golf. Personal preference, I guess. I also like the longer inseam for the shorts. October 27, 2011
Lots of Secure Pockets I have an older pair of these pants, which I use on my backpacking trips. There are many secure (i.e., zipper) pockets that protect valuables from getting lost. The material is 100% nylon that is light, tough, soft, and dries quickly - perfect for backpacking - and much better than anything that REI sells. Unfortunately, as is usually the case nowadays, Travelsmith has changed the pants by switching to cotton, which is also tough and soft, but not light or quickly drying. The pants are now only good instead of perfect. May 31, 2011
Best convertibles I have several pairs of these pants because I wear convertibles a lot and these are the best I've found. Lots of secure pockets, material has great hand, easy to clean. I don't like that the length of the shorts has increased over the years but I guess they have to keep pace with everyone else. I use them for travel, work, and play. The only place they didn't work well was when we were in tick infested woods as there are too many places for ticks to hide. Other than that, I wear a pair almost every day in the summer because the the temperature changes so much here near the lake. March 25, 2011
