Bush Poplin Convertible Pants 4.4 5 15 15
Repeat User wants more colors I have purchased the cotton convertibles over the years. I am 5'9". the short size and waist offering is the main reason why I am a repeat buyer. This size fits me perfectly. I like the cotton version for travel and I think theyi are a little more dressy than the nylon. Cotton is cooler and safer on the body when sitting on a plane or car. I also use these at when I am at driving events where cotton or nomex is required. I zip off the legs when I am not driving. I did have a pair of The nylon which are great for activities where weight and the ability to dry fast is required, like traveling in a boat or dealing with wet weather. These pants have excellent construction and hold up well. I had one pair that I thought wore out prematurely and you replaced them at no charge. Another reason I am a repeat customer. These pants offer some zippered pockets that are some of the best protection against pickpockets in my travels. Could you please offer these pants in BLACK or return the GREEN color again? Please keep these pants in stock ALWAYS since they are a must have for travel. September 16, 2013
Awesome, but not sized for me I was excited to finally find a poplin/cotton style convertible pant since all other manufacturers are doing nylon/polyester only these days. However, as with all the rest of the manufacturers, all of them make 32" or 30" inseam pants and I need 28" - so my short wheel base rarely fits these length of pants even though I'm 68" tall. And, of course, you can't hem convertible pants given the zippered legs. Had to return them unfortunately. May 11, 2014
Sizing The size did not run large as stated in the product description. May 16, 2014
Best convertibles I have several pairs of these pants because I wear convertibles a lot and these are the best I've found. Lots of secure pockets, material has great hand, easy to clean. I don't like that the length of the shorts has increased over the years but I guess they have to keep pace with everyone else. I use them for travel, work, and play. The only place they didn't work well was when we were in tick infested woods as there are too many places for ticks to hide. Other than that, I wear a pair almost every day in the summer because the the temperature changes so much here near the lake. March 25, 2011
Great quality! Great quality pants! I had to purchase these after many attempts to find Boy Scout pants that always resulted in something too small or not comfortable. The zipper around the knee area is not too tight at all, giving your leg plenty of room to maneuver. I love all the pockets, especially the hidden one in the front left pocket, and the legs easily unzip and slide off, even with my size 13 shoes on. The pants could use a few more belt loops, especially on the sides, but they do have buttons around the waist to make the waist a little tighter. I've already worn them on a extended camp out, and they held up very well! March 21, 2014
Good product but could be better Good: The material was good quality. The waist fitted nicely, especially with the button tabs to draw the waist when it is too loose. Shortcoming: Sizes offered were short, regular or tall. I chose the 'short' as I am 5ft 7in tall. The legs were too long, about an inch too long. There was no way to shorten the legs because of the zippers. Pants should be offered in various in-seams. August 27, 2013
Won't get through airport security I have never yet been able to get through airport security without being stopped for "something" in my pants. After I empty my pockets, the only metallic thing left is the zippers at the knees (or maybe the ones on the insdie security pockets of the cargo pocket). If it has not already been done, you folks need to find a new kind of zippers that will not set off airport security. I bought mine in 2011. I have faced this problem nearly every time I have worn them for air travel since then. March 15, 2014
Lots of Secure Pockets I have an older pair of these pants, which I use on my backpacking trips. There are many secure (i.e., zipper) pockets that protect valuables from getting lost. The material is 100% nylon that is light, tough, soft, and dries quickly - perfect for backpacking - and much better than anything that REI sells. Unfortunately, as is usually the case nowadays, Travelsmith has changed the pants by switching to cotton, which is also tough and soft, but not light or quickly drying. The pants are now only good instead of perfect. May 31, 2011
