Bush Poplin Convertible Pants 4.4 5 24 24
Repeat User wants more colors I have purchased the cotton convertibles over the years. I am 5'9". the short size and waist offering is the main reason why I am a repeat buyer. This size fits me perfectly. I like the cotton version for travel and I think theyi are a little more dressy than the nylon. Cotton is cooler and safer on the body when sitting on a plane or car. I also use these at when I am at driving events where cotton or nomex is required. I zip off the legs when I am not driving. I did have a pair of The nylon which are great for activities where weight and the ability to dry fast is required, like traveling in a boat or dealing with wet weather. These pants have excellent construction and hold up well. I had one pair that I thought wore out prematurely and you replaced them at no charge. Another reason I am a repeat customer. These pants offer some zippered pockets that are some of the best protection against pickpockets in my travels. Could you please offer these pants in BLACK or return the GREEN color again? Please keep these pants in stock ALWAYS since they are a must have for travel. September 16, 2013
Great hikers Light weight, light color 100% cotton, large pockets, ideal for desert and summer hiking. High quality, hope they have rugged cuffs because cleats on boots can fray cuffs. Pocket zippers seem less rugged. December 13, 2014
convertable pants good length for short size a bit snug on hubby, but then with retirement other things are getting snug too so will order a 40 exchange. I liked the look and they seem sturdy for a trip August where he would need the long and the short pants. December 5, 2014
Too big I had a pair of these pants for about five years. Ordered a replacement pair, same size, and they were HUGE. Also seems the rise has gotten so big I felt like Steve Urkel. Love the fabric and zip off legs, but the fit won't work for me. November 6, 2014
All cotton hiking pants These pants please my husband. He wanted all cotton, zip-off convertible pants for hiking. We are both very satisfied with this purchase. He wears 32/32 and these fit perfectly! November 5, 2014
Best convertibles I have several pairs of these pants because I wear convertibles a lot and these are the best I've found. Lots of secure pockets, material has great hand, easy to clean. I don't like that the length of the shorts has increased over the years but I guess they have to keep pace with everyone else. I use them for travel, work, and play. The only place they didn't work well was when we were in tick infested woods as there are too many places for ticks to hide. Other than that, I wear a pair almost every day in the summer because the the temperature changes so much here near the lake. March 25, 2011
Lots of Secure Pockets I have an older pair of these pants, which I use on my backpacking trips. There are many secure (i.e., zipper) pockets that protect valuables from getting lost. The material is 100% nylon that is light, tough, soft, and dries quickly - perfect for backpacking - and much better than anything that REI sells. Unfortunately, as is usually the case nowadays, Travelsmith has changed the pants by switching to cotton, which is also tough and soft, but not light or quickly drying. The pants are now only good instead of perfect. May 31, 2011
Great for golf Living in California, I get to golf year round. And I love to wear shorts--except when the tee time is early and the temp is in the lower 50's (or below). These work out perfectly, They're my second pair, and yes, the manufacturer has changed since I bought my first pair. The new ones seem to be a hair larger in fit, and the cotton is a hair heavier. I like cotton as opposed to nylon for golf. Personal preference, I guess. I also like the longer inseam for the shorts. October 27, 2011
