Bush Poplin Safari Jacket 4.5 5 11 11
a nice safari jacket I reviewed a number of Safari jackets before I purchased this one. I had a Cabela's jacket previously but mislaid it somewhere - it was much less expensive but not near the quality of the Travelsmith. The poplin material has nice feel, hangs well, and there are plenty of pockets inside and out. I have had one compliment about it already. I bought the tall XL. I am 6'1"weigh 250 - the length is fine but the waist is almost snug. March 19, 2010
Needs better construction This jacket is serviceable but not nearly the quality of the one I bought at Travel Smith 8 or 9 years ago. The material is OK, but the construction inside seems unfinished. In particular, the pockets should be sewn to the side of the jacket so that they don't flap around when the jacket is open. August 10, 2010
Bush Poplin Safari Jacket I am happy with the safari jacket. We recently moved to France, and occasionally fly EasyJet, who allows just one carry-on piece - no other item. So I decided to buy safari jacket with a bunch of pockets to hold various documents, mobile phone, etc. I have not worn the jacket yet. The sleeves are a few inches too long, but that was my problem and I will have altered. It seems like a well-made and good value product. August 19, 2013
Great jacket, just one issue I bought the jacket for travel, I was looking for lots of pockets for organization and needed them big enough to accomodate camera lenses. It worked great, except for the buttons, three front buttons and two pocket buttons fell off. I sewed them back on, but the stitching on the buttons wasn't the same standard as the rest of the jacket. I would recommend anyone getting this jacket for travel to check and possibly reinforc the buttons. January 24, 2011
IT WAS FINE CHOICE THE CUT, FIT AND DESIGN ARE EXCELLENT. MY ONLY OBJECTION IS THAT IT WILL NOT REPEL WATER. IT IS PERFECT FOR "LAYERING". I RECOMMEND THAT CUSTOMERS ORDER ONE SIZE LARGER FOR THE LAYERING. I PURCHASED THE JACKET FOR OUR TRIP TO ALASKA, BUT IT WILL BE PERFECT FOR OUR ARIZONA WINTERS! April 7, 2011
Safari Jacket I bought a large to layer cloths under on trip to Alaska. I bought a medium size, which fits great, to wear in Florida winters.I've received many nice comments on it,and am very happy with it. December 4, 2010
OK-BUT.... Buttons ALL had to be re-sewn on-before I ever wore it! VERY annoying. It arrived wrinkled-and I had to iron it. Very annoying! April 7, 2011
My staple What can I say? When the old one wears out I get another. I'm either on the 5th or 6th Safari jacket now. October 6, 2010
