Great for travel, read the fine print!
Well, when a description says "fit is generous," and suggests ordering a size smaller, it's strange to read complaints that the outfit runs big (though perhaps that note was added AFTER the complaining reviews came in). I ordered small petite, and the fit was great! After a couple years of heavy use, lots of traveling and lots of washing, the fabric began to lose its shape, but I liked it so much, I simply ordered a second one! A great dress-up, dress-down, 3 season dependable. This style number has been replaced by 37092, which is a slightly different (and to my mind better) fabric...but I like the colors of this style more.

Will be great with a little fixing
It is very hard to find a suit so well-made without a pants zipper - I have been looking for a long time. I bought both black and brown and love the fabric and fit of the tank and jacket. As other reviewers said, the pants are very wide, but the waist is comfortable so I am going to have them shortened and tapered. I would have given 5 stars if the pants were more of a straight leg, but overall I am extremely pleased that with this purchase!

Too big overall
Decent quality fabric, although not quite as sturdy as I'd hoped. The pants were huge, and the jacket shoulders too large as well -- other XL items I bought were too small, so this was really out of line with TravelSmith's sizing. I've returned for a large and am hoping for the best.

pant set
i love the look and feel of the set. the only problem is that the pant were way to big as everything else fit just right. i am getting the pants fixed to fit me cause i love the set.

Itchy
I bought this for my mom and when she got it, she loved the style and color, but she said the fabric was a little itchy. She does have very sensative skin, but there was something (maybe the crepe) that made her itch. We will probably have to return it.

I purchased a size smaller, as suggested by other reviews. Pants are way too large. The shell top way too small. The jacket is fine. I wanted this for travel from Az to Maine for a cool weather class reunion. Cannot wear. If pants weren't so large, I would wear a different shell---but that didn't happen.

Been my "go to" outfit for several years.
I love this set, have worn it many, many times. It is by far the most slimming outfit I have and so will often try something else on to wear out but come back to this. I have 3 colors (black is my favorite), in 2 sizes. Great for business meetings, conferences, dinner out etc, just about anytime I am not wearing jeans or yoga pants. Travels like a dream. I like the nubby texture I think it looks more expensive than smooth. Pants tend to run a little large. I like a higher neckline so wear the shell backwards. Works fine. Color still good after many washings.
Don't ever stop making this outfit.
