Women's Solid Compression Knee-High Stockings 4.4 5 93 98
Awesome Stockings I purchased these stockings based on previous reviews because I am going to Ireland this year and will be in the air for a good while. The few times I have flown before had not resulted in swollen ankles, but the last time I flew I was in the air for about 4-5 hours and when I touched land I discovered I had swollen feet and legs for a few days. This put a damper on my choice of shoes for sure! Since I am the type of person to research all aspects of my upcoming trip to Ireland, this was definitely on my mind. I Googled "compression stockings for travel" and TravelSmith popped up. I now am a fan of TravelSmith and have purchased a few more items. Back to the stockings...I have not worn them on my travel to Ireland, but I have been wearing them at work as I am on my feet most of the time and also walk about 4-5 miles each day at work. After wearing them, I have discovered that my legs are very happy and not as tired as they are without them. I will probably purchase more for work and looking forward to wearing them on my flight to Ireland. One suggestion-I wish they came in more colors and designs. March 21, 2011
Compression Top too tight for this sock. Ordered 1x to assure top did not bind... Sorry to report these socks do. The band is wide enough but noticeably smaller than the socks in the calf. Would not recommend or reorder thse socks. Liked the looks though. Nice quality. Description Stated was made for larger Calves but top is not! H December 4, 2014
terrible color selection As a fair skinned blonde, I have been trying to find reasonable colors for this kind of product. Colors available all seem to be designed for very dark skinned individuals and look very odd and out of place on someone with my coloring. Please offer a lighter, more natural color! Good for air travel, nice enough for dinner out I own two pair of these hose and like them very much, far better then the same style from another company. The first pair has logged several continents and are still serviceable. I began using compression socks during flights to reduce swelling in my ankles. What I particularly like about these compression stockings is that they have a very nice silky hand and are somewhat sheer with a nice sheen to them. I discovered that I could wear them with longer skirts and pants with a nice pair of travel shoes for going out. They are not quite the same as a dress hose but far nicer than an ordinary sock! I did find their limit though. When I was in Scotland hill walking, because my other socks were wet, I tried them as liner socks under hiking socks. The silky texture had me slipping and sliding around in my hiking boots much the the amusement of my family who found it hilarious. September 23, 2010
Worth the price I purchased these to help with a long flight to Europe to help ease my swollen feet. The sizing was very accurate-and as a plus size woman i was worried that the 1x would not be large enough for my calf. The hose fit well, worked wonders at keeping my legs/feet from swelling during the long flight. I was worried they would be too hot or constricting to wear for a long time but they were very comfortable. The price was very reasonalbe as compared to other compression hose online. May 19, 2011
Compression Socks Stockings get a little tight when worn for 24 hours straight on a flying day. October 30, 2014
Not contoured enough I bought 2 pairs of these, size L, in anticipation of several long flights. They work very well and really do a good job keeping down swelling and providing support. I even wore them during days I was on my feet a lot. However, it seemed the foot portion is not contoured enough, resulting in folds or excess fabric at the instep (front of the ankle). There is a slight curve to indicate the heel pocket, but the opposite side of that isn't curved enough to fit without leaving grooves in my skin. Readjusting the hose didn't help. I don't believe I ordered the wrong size, since the size L fits shoe size 8-10 and calf circumference up to 17", which is my range. September 30, 2011
These worked okay. Try them to be sure they're for you. October 7, 2014
