Rated 3 out of 5 by Meh These are only so-so for compression purposes. They don't come up to the knee and are minimally firm. Not sure they will actually be useful for the purpose of minimizing swelling but we will see. November 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great compression hose I have bought these several times and they wear well without looking like the medical compression hose. Great value! November 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy To Receive I purchased this product for an upcoming trip to Europe. I tried them on and they seem fine. The price was great because I caught them on sale. Hope they work well. August 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Stockings I purchased these stockings based on previous reviews because I am going to Ireland this year and will be in the air for a good while. The few times I have flown before had not resulted in swollen ankles, but the last time I flew I was in the air for about 4-5 hours and when I touched land I discovered I had swollen feet and legs for a few days. This put a damper on my choice of shoes for sure! Since I am the type of person to research all aspects of my upcoming trip to Ireland, this was definitely on my mind. I Googled "compression stockings for travel" and TravelSmith popped up. I now am a fan of TravelSmith and have purchased a few more items. Back to the stockings...I have not worn them on my travel to Ireland, but I have been wearing them at work as I am on my feet most of the time and also walk about 4-5 miles each day at work. After wearing them, I have discovered that my legs are very happy and not as tired as they are without them. I will probably purchase more for work and looking forward to wearing them on my flight to Ireland. One suggestion-I wish they came in more colors and designs. March 21, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good for air travel, nice enough for dinner out I own two pair of these hose and like them very much, far better then the same style from another company. The first pair has logged several continents and are still serviceable. I began using compression socks during flights to reduce swelling in my ankles. What I particularly like about these compression stockings is that they have a very nice silky hand and are somewhat sheer with a nice sheen to them. I discovered that I could wear them with longer skirts and pants with a nice pair of travel shoes for going out. They are not quite the same as a dress hose but far nicer than an ordinary sock! I did find their limit though. When I was in Scotland hill walking, because my other socks were wet, I tried them as liner socks under hiking socks. The silky texture had me slipping and sliding around in my hiking boots much the the amusement of my family who found it hilarious. September 23, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Dressy compression socks I bought these compression socks to wear with dress shoes. I wear a size 6.5 shoe and bought a size small at first but they were too tight. The medium fits much better. July 6, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Women's Solid Compression Knee-High Stockings I think they are rather flimsy and found that they do not provide adequate compression. July 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wearing these more often than expected I have compression socks and stockings from Travelsmith. I usually wear the stockings with pants and flats. I have worn them also with my walking shoes. I like that the stockings are less thick and warm than the socks. I have never found any compression stockings that were not opaque. They will never look like nylons. Originally I purchased the compression for a long flight due to concerns over DVT. I found the compression also relieves some of the "tired legs" feeling on long walks. These are the only compression stockings I have found in plus sizes. The 3 colors cover all of my needs. I have beige and black stockings to go with different color pants. I wash them in the washer, but always air dry them. Originally I purchased compression socks for travel, but now wear compression any day I am on my feet most of the day. April 22, 2014
