Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Blanket This blanket looks very thin – but looks are deceiving. It is very warm. For those of you who need to feel the weight of a blanket to be comfortable, this is not for you, it weighs next to nothing. How it can be so lightweight yet so warm is just one of life’s little mysteries. I am a guy so this does not apply to me, but..several posts have commented that his could be used as a shawl, wrap or even a skirt. I can see that. It is a very lovely piece of fabric. It would not look like you have wrapped a blanket around yourself. I really like the size. People have posted that it is about the size of a soda can. It is slightly bigger than that. I would say it is approximately the size of a jar of a quart jar. It is easy to poke back into the little nylon sack that it comes with. I did not try to roll or fold mine neatly; I simply shoved it back into the sack. It fits nicely and is not a struggle to get back in. could be done with ease from an airline seat. I am very happy with the blanket. June 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! This the third one I bought. Had to exchange it because color wasn't quite what I wanted. Really cool because I didn't have to pay shipping returning it or getting another one shipped out. Really appreciate that. I wrote a review last month & I have to tell you I had a 3 year old visitor who spilled applesauce all over my beautiful eggplant blanket. I keep it draped on my sofa since it's now my favorite throw for snuggling. I hand washed it & actually (I really did this) used a salad spinner to get most of the moisture out. It dried within a few hours & looked even better than new & lots more softer. Must have been the 'spin' cycle lol. Now that I've had these for a few weeks & washed one, I have to say, this really is a high quality & versatile item & I haven't even used it on a plane yet. I have used it in a car for chilly Nebraska weather. I also have used it as a scarf fashion accessory. It's not at all bulky given its large size. The knit fabric drapes so nicely, a dress made of this would be great.... January 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wouldn't Travel Without it! This soft, large, comfy blanket is the best thing that ever happened to travel. It folds up small and allows me to sleep and rest comfortably no matter how cold the plane, train or ship is. I even use it at home because it's perfect. August 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this!! Based on the reviews here I bought 3 of these blankets last spring for a trip 2 of my adult children and I were going on. I bought the black, the charcoal and the red. The black is kind of a dull black and was my least favorite color of the three. The charcoal is kind of taupy-grey, nice and subtle and the red is a nice subdued red, not bright. That was my favorite. And I'm glad I got mine back from the man in our travel group who borrowed it - for 5 days! He really liked it too! The blankets worked exactly like the other reviews have said - they are warm despite seeming too thin to be effective, they pack easily in their relatively small case and they wash like a dream. I'm very happy with this purchase! October 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Versatile, well made, cozy. Love it. I bought one of these for myself in grey-- a beautiful taupe-grey color that is much more attractive than it looks on the web. It packs down tiny, and is very thin, soft, stretchy and cozy. I used it for the first time last week as a plane blanket, a wrap for sitting on the couch, and as a light sheet at night when the comforter got too warm. Loved it so much I bought a red one for my daughter in law-- also a great, deep color. It manages to take the chill out of the air without leaving you to cold or too warm. My daughter in law wore hers the whole weekend too and commented on how it keeps you at the perfect temperature. It's thin enough to wear over your shoulders like a scarf, yet large enough to wrap completely around yourself. Love the size, the material, the lightness, and the color. It's more pricey than I think it should be, but I haven't found anything as good. March 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boy, was I surprised! I bought this blanket for the small size and threw it in my bag without really looking at it. On a freezing cold plane I opened it for the first time. I was disappointed at the thin fabric but thought "oh well, better than nothing". Was I surprised when this "thin fabric" blanket kept me toasty warm all the way to Texas! I don't know if it is a tight weave or what, but the a/c on that plane was completely blocked out. I'm buying another one! May 25, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for Long Flights Although I wouldn't use this blanket on a short airplane flight, it was perfect on the long flight to Italy and back. The only reason I wouldn't use it on a short flight is because I wouldn't be sleeping. It folds compactly and works great. Both my husband and I shared this one blanket and it was fine. June 9, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just What I Was Looking For Wanted something lightweight for my flight to Europe but wanted it large enough to cover me head to toe as I slept. This is perfect. Fits easily in carry-on bag and washes/dries like a dream. March 4, 2011
