Women's Craghoppers Basecamp Shorts 2.9 5 13 13
Perfect at one size up I ordered size 8 and had to return the shorts for size 10 which was perfect for measurements of 29" waist, 36" hips, 128lbs. and 5'4" height. At one size larger it was especially comfortable, no tightness in the crotch. The material has a smooth feel and is of good quality. I also ordered the pants and they fit comfortably in my usual travelsmith size small/size 8. May 28, 2012
Shorts make for Hippos I just received this shorts & I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I read the reviews which suggested you should buy a size larger then you usually wear - BIG MISTAKE! I could have bought a size smaller & they still might have been too large. I don't know if they changed the sizing since the reviews came in or what. I really like the shorts & the material, but by the time I return them for another size or two the cost of the postage will exceed the cost of the shorts. Too bad they could have been nice for summer, but not meant to be, I guess. March 11, 2013
Different sizing on this The fabric and style are very nice, but the sizing didn't work for me. The 10 was too small in the waist (I am 64 years old so my waist has disappeared), and the 12 was too large and baggy. They might work for someone with a different shape. September 18, 2013
Runs very large Lately, I've hovered between size 14 and 16, so I ordered a size 16 in these shorts. As I think another reviewer said, it wasn't only too large, it was way too large. I considered exchanging it for a size 12 (two sizes down!), but at that point it was too late to get it for the trip I'd wanted it for, so I returned it. The shorts seemed fine otherwise. Mystified by the size I usually wear a 10, but the 10 was so small in the waist and seat that I exchanged it for a 14 after reading comments about sizing. The 14 iturned out to be gigantic -- I am debating whether try one more time with a 12. The fabric and length are both good -- I can recommend that, but I am not sure of the sizing. July 31, 2013
Nice, but not for me These shorts are very well made out of nice fabric. Unfortunately they appear to run short in the crotch so that even though they seemed to fit perfectly when I was standing still, I could not walk, sit or bend over with comfort. They went back. Still seeking that elusive perfect pair of shorts. July 24, 2013
Short in the stride I purchased the Craghopper pants and found them to be very roomy (with a belt for tightening the waist), so I changed my order for the shorts to go down one size. Big mistake. They are not cut anything like the pants. They are much more fitted and short through the seat. These shorts would not be comfortable for walking or hiking like the pants. If you order both, go down one size on the pants, but not on the shorts. Quality materials are used, and they are well made; but run small. April 10, 2012
Very comfortable, fits well. I'm sure they will last a long time. August 14, 2013
