purple is my favorite color and I was excited to get this dress. If there is such a thing as a boring purple, this one might be it. I normally wear a 12/14, and am a 40C bust. The bustline was tight and the empire line kept riding up across my bust. The bottom half was very loose and not flattering. The fabric was a little heavy too, so I just felt frumpy in this dress. It went back.

disappointed
I received this dress today and was really disappointed. I purchased a medium because the other reviews said it ran large. I usually wear a small. The fabric is really sleazy. When I put it on, it clings like it has electricity in it. It made me look really frumpy. Now, I am stuck with paying $7.99 for shipping to me and $7.99 to return it. The things that I have ordered and kept have been great but I am beginning to wonder if Travelsmith has downgraded their products. Actually, the service with Travelsmith has been outstanding. I can't say the same thing for some of their products.

Great Dress if You Are Not Long-Waisted
I loved the material and color. Fit was great EXCEPT waist was too short. I used the measurement chart and it should have fit perfectly; however there is no measurement from neck to waist! and empire waist came to the middle of my bust. Too bad! It would come in handy to add that measurement to the chart.

Perfect Travel Dress
Always struggle with finding a dress to wear for occasions that require a bit of dressing up. Where I go (Belarus) jeans were unheard of for women a few years back. Laundry and ironing was always an issue. This solves the problem. Simple tailored styling, perfect for any occasion and fit is relaxed and easy.

odd fit, not flattering
Disappointed in how this fits - front is ok, but the back hangs loosely and creates an odd silhouette. This one's going back.

Great LBD
I love the design and fabric of Travelsmith's indespensible dresses! I have always been a small but had to order this in a PM and it fits perfectly.
I bought the black and it will be a great addition to my wardrobe alone or under a jacket.
