Jewel Garden Reversible Jamevar Jacket 3.9 5 63 63
Second disappointment I had hope against hope that this would be as beautiful as the photo but just like the other Jamevar jacket it was a huge disappointment. First this is not what I would consider a jacket. The material is very thin and lightweight which doesn't give it the substance that a normal jacket would. Second it looks nothing as shown. The colors again as beautiful as they are in the photograph pale considerably when you see it in person. I am a size 10 and ordered a medium but the cut is smaller on top and then cascades larger as it goes down so it was tight in the shoulders. I ordered both outfits and returned them both very disenchanted. As I am always looking for clothes that are unique and I am prepared to pay whatever the cost I feel that this garment is not at all worthy of its high price. May 26, 2011
I Like It More The Longer I Have It When I first took this Jamevar Jacket out of the box, I was disappointed. The fabric wasn't nearly the quality that it appeared in the photos on site. However, I needed it for a trip so did not return it. I wore if often on the trip (limited to 40lbs for 3 weeks) reversing it at times. The reverse side is not dramatic enough to make you feel as if you are wearing a different jacket. I did receive compliments on it and found it surprisingly packable. Actually wore it on a set of 3 return flights which totaled 21 hours of traveling. It held up extremely well. I have not marked this as 'recommend to a friend' because unless the friend saw the jacket, I would not want them to think the fabric was the quality shown in the photos. I wore this with white, tan, cream, turquoise, brown, & black. It does go well from jeans to nice slacks. August 5, 2011
Flattering design and Pretty This light weight jacket is perfect. You'll look great in this, whether it's a compliment for slacks or jeans or you're on-the-go. It's slightly tailored and very flattering. I receive compliments every time I wear it. I do have to agree, the colors featured are not quite as vibrant in person. Some are disappointed with the quality. It's a looser weave but very nice quality and holds up well. No snagging or flossing. I've been wearing mine all summer and now fall. Big plus *wrinkle resistant. October 5, 2011
Nice...but I love the jacket, but it would be much, much better if it had pockets. April 7, 2011
disappointed This is going back. The material is cheap and flimsy; there is no visible difference between the two sides of this "reversible" jacket. The sizing seems off. Even at $41 (with a 30% off coupon), this seemed overpriced. My husband and I have had great luck in the past with Travelsmith, but not this time. November 7, 2012
living in the south, it's nice to have a layering piece that is not too thick-i have read the reviews of "flimsy fabric" and disagree-it is a lightweight jacket and looks amazing with jeans and black slacks for a dinner..highly recommend; BTW i have the plum/olive jacket and this one has improved roominess in shoulders; please let your clothing manufacturers know that is a bonus for future jackets; i do agree, pockets would be nice, but would detract from shape-(carry a small purse instead :-) January 12, 2012
light duster I am glad I did not pay the full price for this jacket (otherwise I would return) The fabric is too thin to be called jacket; I would call it a light duster. The idea is great, the color combination is wonderful, but fabric and design deserve criticism. It is so long that I will have to do alteration, otherwise it looks like a coat. Buttons take forever to unbutton, and overall looks like a cheap rug rather than something that would give you "crisp feel" June 4, 2013
Great Purchase I am extremely happy with this purchase. The jacket is beautiful, vibrant, and easy care! I get compliments whenever I wear it. I like both sides quite well, and the versatility is great. It's the perfect complement for denim or khaki pants/skirt. I'm pleased with the sizing, I own the burgundy Jamevar jacket in the same size, but the sleeves on that one are too long and cannot be altered, due to the pattern. These sleeves are perfect for me, but could be shortened, if they weren't, because they have a seam that creates a "cuff." Also, although the fabric of the other Jamevar is lovely, it is fragile--pulls quite easily--and I worry about it when I wear it. This jacket fabric is sturdier while still being attractive. I will get a lot of wear from this jacket, and look forward to traveling with it. February 10, 2013
