Lipault Paris 26" Folding Wheeled Bag 4.2 5 6 6
Take Yourself Lightly Saw this in Paris in Nov 2010 and then bought it for a three week jaunt in Europe in May 2011. It definitely helps cut back on how much you pack but at the same time leaves room to bring home a few purchases along the way. Even fully packed, it was still 10+ pounds lighter than my Atlantic luggage. It's not at all a typical American-made luggage and you'll be surprised at what it can hold. Very lightweight, seems durable in spite of airline baggage handlers and completely disappears when you get home, fold it up, and voila, under the bed or on a shelf it goes. With airline restrictions on weight getting dicey, invest in a set now. July 17, 2011
Love it! The Lipault 26" bag took its maiden voyage to Jamaica. I was able to stuff it full and it still was less than 38 lbs. It stood up well and is so lightweight. The luggage stayed balanced and the spinner wheels made it easy to navigate through the airports. My husband appreciated its lighter weight, especially when loading the car and hauling the luggage off of the carousel. January 21, 2013
Saves Weight but Holds Less I got this after taking an old Hartman 26" bag on several trips, hoping to save a few pounds. Although it's labeled 26" it does not hold as much as the Hartman 26" rolling bag. In fact, I'm using the old Hartman one today because my walking stick would not fit diagonally in the packed Lipault. Very sad! September 10, 2012
Poor durability Took this on a recent 5-week trip to Paris. Was impressed by the weight and the functionality. However, the luggage appears worn after just one trip, with visible wear and tear on most corners. I would steer clear. July 29, 2011
Lipault Bag I purchased several of these bags because they were extremely light, collapse for storage and were different from the thousands of black or red bags on the carousel at the airport. I have had Eagle Creek bags in the past and they are workhorses, but heavier. It was disappointing that the handle broke off on the telescoping part of the bag, but it was fully warranted and replaced within days, especially since I was traveling at the time. Bravo to Travelsmith and Lipault. June 13, 2013
Great lightweight bag This bag is great for travel. It is so light and holds so much you wouldn't believe it. I just wish they had put some kind of support at the top of the bag just like they did at the bottom so that the sides wouldn't collapse as you are packing. Otherwise, it is perfect. And I love the eggplant color. May 9, 2014
