Long-Sleeve Sedona Silk Shirt 3.9 5 16 18
Very comfortable, inconsistent sizing I bought two of these shirts in size XL Tall and in different colors. One of them was measurably smaller than the other in both overall size and sleeve length. I exchanged the smaller one and got another that was about halfway between the first two in size. The sleeve length was the main issue - it was about an inch short. A normal sleeve length for me is 36-37. The tail on both was well more than sufficient. Other than that, I love the shirt. It feels incredibly comfortable to wear in varying temperatures and launders very nicely without wrinkles, making it good for travel. I appreciate having a pocket, a rarity in knit shirts. Great 'casual elegance' Down in the islands, casual elegance is as good a way as any to describe how guys dress-up for a party. These sedona silk shirts (I have three) are great for that; they're not flimsy silk but rather have a nice masculine feel to them. I did have to have it altered (a bit larger than a usual medium) but I have most of my shirts tailored to fit so that wasn't unusual for me to do. December 3, 2010
Ordered two of these shirts on sale. I am 6'4" and weigh 240 in decent shape. I usually wear 2x tall shirts. One of the brands carried by TravesSmith is Tori Richards. I have several of those and the fit well. These shirts were HUGE. Shoulders, sleeves, distance abound by body were way off. Would consider next size down, but it might still be too big (or too small, who knows). August 6, 2010
You Need Longer Arms I needed to take the shirt to the tailor - or grow my arms about two inches. The tailoring costs more than the shirt. July 14, 2010
my favorite shirts I purchased four of these shirts two years ago. They remain my favorite shirts for business casual wear and traveling. To a surprising degree, they are comfortable in a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions. They have the comfort and breathability of cotton but don't soil nearly as quickly. Some reviewers a few years back reported issues with shrinkage, but I never had any such problems. I also have no issues with wrinkling. I find putting them in the dryer with a fabric softener sheet works just fine, and they come out unwrinkled and soft. My only suggestion is to make this shirt available in white -- would make an acceptable shirt underneath s suit or blazer. September 29, 2013
Casual Dress Shirt This shirt runs a little large. The quality is good, not great. Does not seem to be as wrinkle free as claimed. It's worth the money at the sale price, but not--IMHO--at the regular price. The red color I chose is not a "Christmas" red, but works as casual dress shirt for parties throughout the winter. Odd texture, not so wrinkle free The basket weave produces something that really doesn't feel like silk if you're thinking of silk as in "satiny silk" - I'm not sure what it DOES feel like, but it's a bit odd. It doesn't shrink on the hand wash setting for my washer (cold, gentle agitation) but it's not wrinkle free either when hung to dry or tumbled on delicate. Overall, not really what I was looking for. It does appear to be softening up with repeated washings - perhaps with time it will feel softer than it does now. I wouldn't buy another one. Good price, but a strange shirt. August 28, 2010
Love this shirt Very nice and comfortable shirt. Would be nice to have two chest pockets. January 26, 2014
