Packing right for the rugged outdoors takes careful planning and plenty of handy pockets. Although you should be prepared for sun and heat, the weather and average temperature on African safaris can vary significantly, with nighttime lows in the 50’s. We recommend packing in smart layers, with a base wardrobe of breathable khakis and tans, to let you stalk wildlife incognito. Add to that a smart pocket-full vest or coat, cargo pants with zip-off legs, and –very important – a good sun hat.
