Microsuede Jacket

Not so good
This jacket and matching pants looked very pretty in the picture. I haven't received the pants. I ordered a large in the jacket to give me extra room in case I wanted to wear something under it. (I usually wear a medium.) The jacket was small, leaving a 2 inch gap over my chest. The material is thin and the sewing around the sleeves was poorly done, leaving gathers where shouldn't have been any. The color, however was beautiful.

Great Jacket
I ordered this jacket to take to London in May, and it was a life saver, as the weather was still wintery. I used the jacket over layers of clothes or by itself the few days that were warmer. It packed well, didn't wrinkle, fit well, and looked good.

My first order from Travel Smith. Products are well made, very comfortable fabrics. Smart looking. Will make a good ensemble for the times on the plane, and doing the tourist thing when Its just a little chilly temperatures. Shipping was within 3 -4>days arrival to me..

Disappointed
I ordered the jacket & matching pants - I did not like the way the collar and sleeves were finished with a satin like fabric. I have long arms and I would need to slightly shorten the sleeves - there was nothing I could do about the collar edge.I did not like the way the pants radically flared from the knee, so would have needed to alter that along with shortening by about 1". I also did not expect that I would need to press/iron the jacket and pants - I could not eliminate the creases from the items being mailed in a plastic bag rather than a box. I have had other microfiber garments that were great looking directly from the washer and dryer - I doubt this fabric would be the same. I am returning both pieces.

Total Disaster!
I ordered the petite 8, blue. Wanted the short length to wear with flat type shoes. The inseam was shorter than 29" and the cut of the pants was horrible because it came in at the knee and abruptly ran out. A very stiff look because the material did not drape. Also the blue color was harsh. The Jacket was also unflattering for measurements of 34D bra/36", 29" waist, 35 1/2" hips, 127lbs. and 5'4" height. Naturally, the outfit was send back.

Elegant Workhorse
I have traveled for months at a time with this suit. Most important, this suit looks great. It fits smartly, and never seems to wrinkle.
The security pockets give me perfect peace of mind. Zipped into the side pocket or tucked into the roomy inside pockets, I feel perfectly safe with everything from a passport to airline tickets and boarding passes to a money/card purse, to a hotel room key. And there is still room for tissues and miscellany in the front pockets.
The suit never seems to look dirty, fits elegantly, and comes out of the washer/dryer ready to wear. I just bought a second set in a different color..
