Original Pintuck Poet Shirt 4.1 5 255 258
Comfortable and wrinkle-free! Bought the red and the black. Deep, rich colors. I usually wear medium, but in this the small was a good fit. Heavy enough to be warm in the long sleeved style. Great value. December 3, 2013
Comfortable and Classy I like the style and color, and I'm actually wearing it right now! November 12, 2013
Never, never needs ironing I like the Original fit better that the Updated fit. I think the Original is a bit roomier and the petite sleeves are a bit longer. Comes out of the dryer needing nothing but a hanger. My husband comments on the black one every time I wear it. I now have three of these shirts and would buy more if there were better colors from which to choose. November 11, 2013
loved shirt but medium too small I really needed a large but TravelSmith was out of the large. Took a chance on a medium as one reviewer said ran large but didn't run large enough for me. Really liked the shirt and sad that the medium didn't fit. October 31, 2013
Runs Too Large I was really looking forward to receiving this shirt - I had admired it in the catalog for years. But when it arrived I found that the XL was HUGE on me. I even had my 5'11" daughter try it on and it was big on her - and she wears a size larger than me! I'm sending it back and not exchanging because I'm afraid the style isn't flattering on me. This was the first time I had tried gathered style like this. It is very well made with French seams. The fabric is heavier than I expected - good for cooler months. October 17, 2013
Great Shirt The shirt size I ordered, based on the TravelSmith sizing chart was HUGE. I returned it for 1 size smaller and it fit perfectly. It's very comfortable. I have, however, already noticed pilling under the arms, I haven't laundered it yet so I'm not sure what that will look like. TravelSmith says the pilling problem has been resolved.... I hope so, because this is otherwise a great shirt. October 15, 2013
Great customer service In an earlier posting I mentioned that my white poet shirt had some pilling following washing. I bought the shirt in the three colors offered. No issue with the green nor the raspberry. They are fine and wash beautifully. A rep from travels smith called me regarding this issue. Really great how they stand behind their products. I will b trying the new poet shirt in the alternative fabric. October 11, 2013
more a tunic than a shirt I have two of these shirts in PXL size, but the upper arms and slightly across the bust they are a tad tight so I ordered 1X. It turned out to be huge. The difference in dimensions between PXL and 1X is not entirely clear--it seems to vary from garment to garment. I have bought other 1X items that fit perfectly well. It is unfortunate that most manufacturers do not take into consideration the fact that there are (overweight) women who need plus size garments, yet are short and need them to fit properly. Why isn't there a 1X petite size? I know it sounds silly as plus size women are not petite in girth, but many are, indeed, quite short. November 20, 2013
