Shelf-Bra Cami 2.7 5 10 10
Follow up to previous post Previously I posted I ordered a medium, which was too tight. I exchanged for a large. This is sort like one size fits all. I am 5'3", 125 lbs, and 36C. The shelf bra could be pulled down to my waist it is so expansive. The sides at the armhole gape. And the straps can only be lengthened, not shortened. So this would work for, say, someone 5'8", 150 lbs -someone more chesty rather than heavier, and a 44D. The fabric is too thin to be worn alone - shows your dimples. Travel Smith just can't get this right. You cannot make one-size-fits-all and expect people to be happy. I'll have to take the straps apart and make a few tucks under the arms. Too expensive to have it done professionally, so will have to do it myself. I'll probably butcher it. September 26, 2014
Pretty, bigger fit than expected I received the cami, and tried it on. The material is soft, stretchy, and breathable, as well as pretty (lace edge is very nice). The entire shelf went 2 in below my bustline, and I looped the straps as short as I could but still had some gaping at the neckline. I can alter/ adjust the cami at home with some sewing and continue to use it. Just be warned (or comforted)= it will be roomy as a small or medium. June 19, 2014
Best cami I've had so far This cami fits with just the right amount of tightness. It looks good enough to "peek out" from low neckline blouses and jackets, even worn by itself if necessary. It washes well. June 23, 2014
Too tight Unless you have the slender figure of a very young woman, this cami is too tight. That is, it shows every bulge, every roll, every "dimple". The spandex #ie rubber# is not comfortable. The double layer of a shelf bra is what I wanted, but it's so tight it shows e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g. The lace at the top is nice, but the lace at the bottom is too ruffliy -- looks silly, and would not be smooth if tucked in or worn under something else smooth. I am 5'3", 125 lbs., and 36 bust. I ordered a medium #my usual size# and will be returning for a L or X-L. August 9, 2014
Comfortable and Practical I bought the small and the size is a bit loose (I'm 5' 2", 117#). I would have liked it if the straps are adjustable, but they are not. Therefore, the front falls a bit lower than I like. However, I can sew up the straps in the back to take up the slack. This is a great top to take on a trip and layer under a shirt or jacket. Worst sizing ever! I first ordered my usual size--medium. Exchanged them for a size small because 'medium" was huge. Even the size 'small' is too large and the straps do not offer enough adjustment to be useful. Will be giving these to Goodwill. Worst purchase I have ever made anywhere. Very disappointed. I usually wear a medium size but because I wear a C cup bra I thought I should get a Large in a cami. I think I should have stayed with a medium. I have worn it under a big style shirt and it looks fine. April 15, 2014
Mama Mia You would have to be a triple K bra size, but then the straps were so long that you still would hang down to your waist. December 18, 2013
