Silky Smooth Pashmina 4.4 5 21 21
Elegant, Versatile, warm! This is the third pashmina wrap I've ordered from Travel Smith. These wraps are true pashminas, in that they actually contain pashmina wool; all those nylon & acrylic versions out there are simply over-sized scarves! The term "pashmina" refers to the soft, light-weight wool of the pashmina goat, not the style of scarf. These are blended with silk, as were many of those I saw in India; the price is comparable with what I paid there also. The colors are bright (I had to return the dark blue, as it is really more a bright royal blue) and long-lasting. Wrap it around your shoulders & neck for a glamorous bit of warmth, or an easy alternative to a sweater with pants or jeans. Great for travel too. Great buy! April 14, 2014
Beautiful rich color This was the best find because I bought a gown for a wedding and needed a wrap. The color matched perfectly! April 2, 2014
Thin and poor quality I bought this pashmina for a wedding after reading the wonderful reviews, but I'm disappointed. The fabric is very thin, and the finished edges are already pulling apart at the fringed ends (and I haven't even put it on--that was out of the bag!) The fringe is woven from the fabric itself and appears to be quite fragile. I'm afraid to wear it because it looks so delicate at the edges, as the weave looks to be threadbare at the fringe. Don't know what I am going to do since I need it immediately. I bought three colors, but they all may go back due to the poor quality. But TS was terrific about getting them to me in time after many mixups with the order--thank you TS! September 25, 2013
Colorful - great size for a shawl...... The color was awesome - plan on having it when traveling or going out to dinner , so if the room is cool, I have it right with me. January 27, 2014
Wrap it up! This beautiful wrap is very fine-gauge, so it drapes easily, is never bulky, and fits into a carry-on bag or tote for chilly moments en route! The silk-wool blend means it is also durable and warm. It's not quite as wide as the shawls I purchased in India, but still adequate. One side of this wrap has a silky sheen, while the reverse is matte finished for a nice contrast. At this price, buy 2 colors like I did! January 24, 2011
Fancy and Expensive I purchased this pashima as a gift for my older sister who is hard to please. She declared it was "too fancy" - perhaps in reference to the shiny finish on one side. I noticed today the same pashimas are on sale for half the price I paid to disappoint my sister. I'd be less disappointed if I had paid less for the gift. January 6, 2014
Easy to pack I usually travel with one black shawl, but it takes up quite a bit of space in my luggage. I just bought two of these and they take up less than half the space and I have two colors to use. They are a perfect size and weight. December 28, 2013
