Great Product
This fan totally saved me in the heat and humidity of Italy. I was able to use it in museums and on trains. Loved it!

Very handy fan
We used this fan on a trip to Texas in August. Everyday was 100 or more! This fan was great in the hotel room! We ran it for 4 nights straight and the batteries showed no signs of running down. Provided the needed breeze because the hotel's AC cycled on and off.
I do agree with previous commenters that the battery lid is a little difficult to open and close. Might be impossible if you have arthritis or similar.

Portable Bliss!
I have used this little miracle for my global travels for three years running, and it has never let me down. Turkey, Jordan, Istanbul, and now the Azores. On a plane, train, bus, car, restaurant, walking thru the city, even sleeping in a tiny room without any air circulation. It even helped prevent me from passing out while sitting thru a 1 1/2 hour catholic mass, all in Portuguese (and I only speak English!) It also addresses those menopausal 'hot flashes' when I am at home working on the computer. Cannot say enough about this little gem. Everywhere I go, people find it quite amusing, until they wish they had one and ask me where I got mine. On my international flight home last week from the Azores, one of the flight attendants (a male) called it 'Spectacular' - I had to ask for the translation :) Regular alkaline batteries last a long time (on the lowest setting). But I have not tried rechargeable yet. I will never, ever travel without my travel fan. Do yourself a favor, and buy this product. It is one of my most favorite travel 'gadgets'!

CAN'T DO WITHOUT IT
I started taking a five-year cancer drug a couple of years ago and I have really suffered. Not anymore. I carry 2 fans in my purse - one for myself and one for my husband. It has been more than hot this summer in Tn and my fans get constant use, even at home. The only problem is that I have to keep buying them because people admire them and I give them away. Thank you whoever developed this lovely fan.

Love it!
Best little fan ever! Certainly keeps me cool in the TN heat! I love the speeds so I can have more or less cooling. Only thing I'd like is some sort of a case to keep it in when not in use to protect the fan blades.

Oh ladies, what a relief!
Ok, just started with the hot flashes, just brutal. I use to have to use the big fan which my husband hates, he is always cold, I am always hot! Now i just use this small handheld fan and instant relief! It is small enough to pack in your carry on and quiet enough not to disturb others. I bought 2 just in case one should break, cant be left without it now. I had no problem with the battery compartment either. Just get it!

Favorite purchase ever
I recently started taking the five year cancer pill and was told my "hot flashes" would get worse for the next two months. Couldn't find a small fan in the store so I ordered this one. Best purchase ever.....I even took it to baseball games with 100 degree heat and it was great.

Awesome Fan! One of my favorite purchaces
Mine has been a lifesaver. It really does keep you cool on those awfully hot days A friend saw mine, asked to try it & fell in love as well, so I bought one for her as well. I must give a "shout out" to travelsmith's customer service, the fan comes with a 1 yr warranty and mine just died about 3 weeks after the expiration of the warranty but customer service was kind enough to offer to send me a new one anyway -- Thank you Tonya!
