Travelon 3-Speed Fan 4.1 5 14 15
Portable Bliss! I have used this little miracle for my global travels for three years running, and it has never let me down. Turkey, Jordan, Istanbul, and now the Azores. On a plane, train, bus, car, restaurant, walking thru the city, even sleeping in a tiny room without any air circulation. It even helped prevent me from passing out while sitting thru a 1 1/2 hour catholic mass, all in Portuguese (and I only speak English!) It also addresses those menopausal 'hot flashes' when I am at home working on the computer. Cannot say enough about this little gem. Everywhere I go, people find it quite amusing, until they wish they had one and ask me where I got mine. On my international flight home last week from the Azores, one of the flight attendants (a male) called it 'Spectacular' - I had to ask for the translation :) Regular alkaline batteries last a long time (on the lowest setting). But I have not tried rechargeable yet. I will never, ever travel without my travel fan. Do yourself a favor, and buy this product. It is one of my most favorite travel 'gadgets'! September 18, 2012
The Best!! Just returned from Rome where I used this everyday, all day (on top speed) for a week and batteries just died on the trip home. Would have been absolutely miserable w/o it. Love that the speed is variable, that I could wear it around my neck but tilted up toward my face, and that it can also sit at various angles on a table. It's also pretty light so it wasn't too uncomfortable around my neck. On highest speed it's still low enough sounding that you can hear a tour guide. If you suffer from the heat, you MUST get this.... you most certainly won't regret it. October 28, 2010
Very handy fan We used this fan on a trip to Texas in August. Everyday was 100 or more! This fan was great in the hotel room! We ran it for 4 nights straight and the batteries showed no signs of running down. Provided the needed breeze because the hotel's AC cycled on and off. I do agree with previous commenters that the battery lid is a little difficult to open and close. Might be impossible if you have arthritis or similar. Light-weight and easy to pack September 23, 2012
greatest gadget when it's hot this little fan is incredible. My internal thermostat does not work well anymore, typical for a woman over 55 yrs. of age... and this fan is the best item I have found to help me cool down fast and feel comfortable again. practical too, it can stand on the table at various angles, I can hold it in my hand, hang it around my neck, has 3-speeds and it fits easily into my purse. never expected it to be so efficient. definitely a "best buy". Absolutely Not The button used to turn on the power continuously got stuck crooked in the body of the fan, causing me to have to use a knife to pry it back into place and turn off the fan! After this happened three times, it was stuck permanently. I will be returning this waste of money. Have already replaced it with a wonderful one from Brookstone with a different switch mechanism. CAN'T DO WITHOUT IT I started taking a five-year cancer drug a couple of years ago and I have really suffered. Not anymore. I carry 2 fans in my purse - one for myself and one for my husband. It has been more than hot this summer in Tn and my fans get constant use, even at home. The only problem is that I have to keep buying them because people admire them and I give them away. Thank you whoever developed this lovely fan. July 7, 2012
Love it! Best little fan ever! Certainly keeps me cool in the TN heat! I love the speeds so I can have more or less cooling. Only thing I'd like is some sort of a case to keep it in when not in use to protect the fan blades. May 22, 2012
Seems like it will be good Haven/t used my fan yet. Purchased for an upcoming trip. The batteries go in a bid "different "but still easy to install. Air generated seems to be good.. Not sure how well it will work around the neck yet. Sits well on hard surface. I agree with another person that it would be nice to have some kind of cover for traveling, especially to protect the delicate fan blades. Will probably carry in the plastic case it came in but of course that takes a lot more space. May 25, 2013
