TravelRest Inflatable Travel Pillow

Better to get a neck pillow, not comfortable at all.
April 13, 2013
The needle in the haystack
It was dumb luck that I stumbled upon this gem of a product. While typing in "Travelset" into Google, I accidentally typed an "R" after travel and Google led me to "Travelrest". It was love at first sight, and so I ordered this product with high hopes and low expectations. My expectations were low because all the other travel pillows I had purchased in the past failed to work for me. My first flight with Travelrest was a 4 hour jaunt to New Orleans, and for the first time in ages I slept like a baby for nearly the entire flight. My new friend took a few minutes to get the inflation pressure to my liking. The pillow blew up in 3 puffs, and the best thing about it was how natural of a position I felt I was in when first using it. A word to the wise, don't over-inflate. I over inflated at first, but then let a little air out at a time while leaning into the pillow. The valve is super easy to use, and you can let out small amounts of air very simply by depressing the valve with the slightest of pressure. The air valve alone sets this pillow apart from other inflatables. I believe the secret to this pillow is that it lets you fall into it in a natural position, and then it supports you confidently enough to allow you to sleep without worrying about falling into the person next to you. Arriving at my destination rested makes a world of difference to me, especially on trips where I cross several time zones. Travelrest doesn;t cure jet lag, but it does give me a more restful travel experience, which is worth 100 times what I paid for the pillow. For my travel pillow needs, this one scores 5 stars! Plus, at $30, it will make great Christmas presents next year for my traveling friends.

Best Travel Accessory
I never take the time to write reviews, BUT this product works like no other. Seriously, the other products are a waist of time and money because this TravelRest Pillow works so well and can be adjusted to perfection. When you pull the bottom string, the part under your head can be adjusted so you are incredibly comfortable and you fall asleep easily!

A Must Have Product
The pillow was worth every penny! I not only used it on the plane, but when the hotel pillow was not to my liking, I used my travel pillow! I highly recommend the product and have already told many friends that it is a "must have" item.

VERY Uncomfortable
I tried in vain to use this on each leg of a 9 and a half hour flight to no avail. It was simply the most uncomfortable gadget I have ever used. I was not able to get a wink of sleep. I call it a gadget, as it is obviously a marketing gimmick -- it is NOT and CANNOT be used as a pillow.
I gave this a fair 18 hour try over two flights and it failed. I went back to my neck pillow.

so so
Really only useful if you have a window seat, and can leave this up against the wall. Easy to inflate and deflate, however.

very disappointed
I bought this for an overseas flight but did not realize until too late that this is really meant for a car seat belt not an airplane seat belt!

Excellent, comfortable, easy to use
This is my second Travelrest pillow. I had to buy a second one because my husband continues to take mine. The valve has been improved and upgraded which is great, although the old valve worked fine for me. I recommend watching the instructional videos before using which are on the manufacturers website - it helped me quite bit. I need to let a little air out after takeoff due to the cabin pressure. I like how it creates a bit of a barrier from your neighbor - gave me a sense of additional privacy! There are two ways to use the pillow and I prefer attaching it to the seat when the seat allows. Also use it for long car trips.
