TravelSmith World-Time Alarm Clock 3.1 5 35 35
Don't Bother Everything you want in a travel alarm in one rather annoying little package. The time zone and temperature functions are very cool, and I'll keep it as a desk clock for that. Clock face is small and impossible to read in dim/moderate light w/o the backlight. Backlight only stays on for 3 seconds regardless of how long the switch is pressed. This DOES make the "beep" every time any button is depressed a problem. Flashlight only stays on as long as the "on" button is depressed -- so, useless as a functional flashlight (if you need to set it down). Time/date/alarm are not that hard to set up once you figure out the system, but a real pain to reset if the clock accidentally resets itself in your bag -- easy to have happen as the buttons are very touch sensitive and unshielded. This could have been a great product with a little more attention to practical details. July 24, 2013
I love this gizmo! I love this gizmo! I am an avid cruiser and there often is not a clock in the cabins. I got this so that I can see the time in the middle of the night without having to put my glasses on. It sits nicely on the bedside table. Clicking the button to activiate the backlight does not bother me. It is a simple beep. It also comes with an alarm and a flash light built in in case of power outages or to simply grab it for extra light on the way to the bathroom. It automaticaly adjusts for daylight savings time and it is simple to set up. I am going to buy another one so that I have one at home all the time and one for my travel bag. March 28, 2013
Directions NOT user friendly. The directions are not user friendly. Changing the time for the alarm is a hassle. The knob for turning the time zones is so tight I almost need a plumber's wrench. I did not return the item because this was the best travel alarm of a dozen that I checked out, but it's not that great.... January 22, 2015
Great Travel Clock Unless you're staying in a 5 star hotel in Europe, you can't count on your room having an alarm clock. So, what to pack? This clock provides time-zone changes with a twist of the dial and the built-in flashlight eliminates the need to pack a separate light. It is light weight, compact, and will fit into a small corner of your suitcase or carry-on. And, if you leave it behind, the cost to replace it is nominal. April 4, 2013
Very good product Many useful features, small -great size for trvelling. Would be excellent if had a low level back light for viewing at a glance in dark; as it is you have to reach over an touch a button to see the display. June 13, 2013
Great travel item Good size for packing...goes anywhere. The temperature feature is wonderful. January 17, 2014
Fatal Flaw This clock has it all and would be a great travel accessory EXCEPT that when you tap it at night in the dark to see what time it is it beeps. Not a problem if you are sleeping alone but very annoying if you are not. December 8, 2012
Like it After figuring out how to set it, I am pleased with it. December 16, 2014
