Rated 5 out of 5 by These really work! I ordered these after enduring a 3 hour flight wherein my foot and ankle swelled due to not having enough leg room. I used them on my next flight of almost 6 hours. When I got to our hotel room, I took them off and --- voila! My feet and ankles looked terrific, no swelling at all! I have a size 10-10.5 foot and the Size Medium fit perfectly. It's important to make sure the heel of the sock matches the heel of your foot. (To be sure in sizing, I also ordered the Large, which was too big - I gave those to my husband) I also have long legs and these came right up to my knee and stayed put - no rolling, no need to keep pulling up. They are very comfortable to wear and do not feel too tight or binding at all. In fact, they felt so good I was skeptical they were going to work - but they did! (I even ordered a pair for my elderly mother to wear at home - her feet and ankles occasionally swell from the heat and medication side effects. Those other compression socks/tights they had recommended to her were very uncomfortable and too difficult to get on. I am hoping these will work for her, too.) September 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Support and Style Wearing these socks on a trans-oceanic flight gives me the confidence of knowing that my circulation is being aided. June 17, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Feels like regular tube sock I am an average woman, 5'5", 140lbs. and I bought the medium socks. These socks feel like ordinary tube socks to me. The first time I put them one I gathered the sock to the heel and pulled it on my foot and pulled them up. They can easily reach over my knee but they will probably roll down. I viewed the video on donning the socks and the video does not show how high the socks are once they are on, though all the photos show them just under the knee. I put them on again using the method in the video and will give them the benefit of the doubt since people have given these socks great reviews. Resignation is easier than actual returns with TravelSmtih. (Perhaps I am just a cheapskate but I really expect free returns these days.) January 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good socks despite some fit issues I must have the fattest legs in North America because every knee sock I try is too tight at the top. I routinely find the stitching where the top folds into a cuff and remove it. With these socks that does the trick, thank goodness, though I do still have to get a size too large for my foot to accommodate my enormous legs (which really do not look much bigger than normal). That said, I do like these socks: they are more substantial and easier to put on than compression stockings but not as thick as Jobst compression socks, which require me to buy shoes a half size larger. The socks are comfortable and, once I make my alterations, do not bind at all at the top as most socks do. I'm going to buy more of them and get rid of some of the leg-stranglers in my sock drawer. Rated 4 out of 5 by Please Remove the Logo! In my job as a teacher, I end up spending many hours at a time completing paperwork on a computer. My feet can really swell when I have to do this, and I love the way these socks keep the swelling down. When I first began purchasing these socks there was no logo on the side. I generally wear quite long skirts to work that cover the logo, but a few of my skirts aren't quite long enough to do so. I'm not as ancient as all this makes me sound, and I have actually gone out of my way to purchase boots, just so I can still wear the socks with my not-quite-so-long skirts without looking like someone's invalid grandmother! Really, I can't imagine that the potentially embrassing logo enhances the product in any way. Please consider redesigning the socks without the logo. November 2, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by little problem This is our second pair of Travel sox. The originals have been comfortable and useful. The "grey" is really purple. Just know that. April 14, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Insurance I have taken these TravelSox on several 10-hour flights and have never had a swelling problem so I believe they are good insurance. My wife always 'borrows' a pair of mine for the flights. We can feel the graduated compression... Which is a good thing on the flight but I find them difficult to put on and to pull up over my (heavier) calves since the top section has the most compression. One can wear these sox for daily needs on-tour because standing around demands extra support, too; however, the fabric is thin (washes and dries very well) but does not provide much padding for walking. I take Coolmax-blend walking socks for most of my daily wearing needs. April 7, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great socks Bought these socks as my feet tend to swell with travel. They work great to prevent swelling. Bought some for my husband who stands a lot with job and he finds them to be comfortable and helpful. Also bought some for my in-laws. Mother-in-law has ankle pain and these give her a lot of support to help with mobility and pain. Father-in-law has heart problems and swelling of extremities and he wears his with travel. The only thing I will say is that for short people the length is long. The difference in size seems to be from toe to heel rather than length. July 17, 2014
