Ultimate Denim Travel Skirt 3.7 5 41 42
Good Fit Perfect 6 petite size. Fabric wrinkles when packed and when dried in cool dryer. Hidden front pocket unnecessary; does not lie flat. July 3, 2014
Just what I wanted This is just what I expected, even better. Had read some negative reviews and was concerned, but did not need to be. No gapping at buttons, material is great and will definitely get much use. April 23, 2014
nice weight I like the looks of this skirt. It washed well and I think it will be a good choice for our trip in June April 14, 2014
Too much pucker between front buttons The front of the skirt puckers when sitting. This is due to buttons spaced too far apart and increases the risk of offering a narrow glimpse of undergarments. The skirt falls gently over the hips and the fabric drapes softly. The puckering is not due to fit. It results from design. March 7, 2014
a big disappointment Have 2 other skirts like this, but in loden & camel. I wear them as often as I can. Hoped the denim would be as nice---NOT. Wore the skirt for family pictures & then to dinner. It fit beautifully, I love the deep pockets & extra security pocket. But it looked like I slept in it by the time I got home. Then when I saw the pictures, I realized the button placket was puckered. I even tried to correct it by ironing it, but no use. I will be returning it. I am very disappointed.Hopefully Travel Smith will come up with another denim skirt that is like the camel & loden ones. Wonderful Repeat Purchase This is the best fitting blue jean skirt I have found anyplace. Often the plus sizes elsewhere flop through the thighs seeming to take it for granted you legs are double their size in this area. This skirt looks terrific and through the years I have continued to return over and over again for more of the same. Perfect for business casual or everyday wear. I can not say enough for the length it is perfect and does not drag the floor. Makers of many skirts either have them showing knees or dragging the floor with an extra 5 or 6 inches needing to cut off. Even a woman 5' 10" tall would enjoy this length as well as short women October 18, 2013
Great Skirt True to size, very comfortable, appropriate skirt to wear any season. Great for travel because of its length. Small hidden front pocket is a bonus. August 30, 2013
Would be perfect, if only.... My first thought on unpacking was "If only it were 3-4 inches longer, it would be perfect." After living with it for a month or so, I have further reservations. But it may be the perfect skirt for you! This is meant to be my everyday utility skirt, and I mean I really do wear the same skirt every weekday. My search terms were basically "long skirt pockets." I was looking for something decent-looking and sturdy with usable front pockets. The length was as advertised, and I knew it didn't meet my ideal. I want my skirts to reach my shoetops--and I'm only 5'2", so I was hopeful. But I'd shopped my little heart out for months and months, and I settled. Not TravelSmith's fault. Also advertised was that this item runs a little small, so I was expecting that, as well. But... well, it does. I don't think I'd want the next larger size, but this is a little confining. I also wish for more fabric all around. When I sit down, the button placket tends to gap; sometimes a button even comes undone. I would prefer not to have the button-down front at all, but again, I shopped my little heart out and this is what I found. But the skirt has many excellent features. Material and construction appear excellent. It's sturdy, but lightweight enough for the warmer summer days in coastal California. The pockets are deep enough for my Galaxy S-2 Android phone and seem strong enough for my clutch of five keys. And--joy of joys!--the waistband is at my actual waist. So.... it's usable, and should hold up well. (In case you're shopping around: my alternative everyday skirt, denim from Style J, has a different set of virtues and demerits, but the one thing you should know is that the pockets are very flimsy, and that's just a really hard thing to mend.)
