Ultimate Great Escapes Short-Sleeved Shirt

Too large
Ordered Harbor Blue s/s in Large (my standard size). Unfortunately, the new Ultimate Great Escapes shirt was way too large (clear misfit) as well as very baggy cut ( & I'm 6' and 190 lbs.). I'm assuming part of this is the "action-back styling". The previous Great Escapes shirt was a much better fit. The color and material seemed fine, but I had to return it.

Sizes are erratic.
Since I bought several of these a number of years ago, the sizes have changed with no consistency. I have my originals which fit perfectly on my rotund form. XL regular is fine. In succeeding purchases the XL has shrunk around the waiste and I have needed a XXL, wihich has too large a neck and chest. The recent purchase of XXL was SO large I could have made a tent of it. The XL is still undersized from the original sizing.

Old vs New Old much better
I ordered a Great Escape some time back but hadn't worn it until recently. Much to my disappointment I have found two issues which will preclude me from ordering another Great Escape shirt.
1. the pockets on the new shirts are not as deep as the old ones.
2. The left pocket no longer contains a place for sunglasses.
Also Travelsmith has removed the Tailwinds shirts from their inventory so I guess I will have to find some other supplier to purchase from.

Shirt is OK, buttons not sew much...
I purchased this shirt a few months ago and it has been worn just a few times. Overall, the shirt is well-made. It has been washed twice, and it comes out of the dryer ready to wear after some hand smoothing.
The buttons are fine, but the sewing was/is terrible! Three buttons are already loose and I lost one other button. Just a few threads hold each button and there is no shank (or wrapping part of the thread around the underside of the button). My wife volunteered to resew the buttons. Very poor considering the quality of the rest of the shirt.
It really cuts the value of any purchase when you have to redo some poorly done work. If I had noticed this flaw upon receipt, I would have sent the shirt back.
