Ultimate Twill Travel Skirt 4.1 5 58 59
A closet staple A good "go to" skirt. My only complaint is that the original packing wrinkles never seem to be hanging out even after two wash/dry. May need to steam press them out and hope future wrinkles behave better. February 25, 2014
Comfortable Washes well. Comfortable. Secret pocket holds a passport. Packs small and can be worn with lots of options. February 25, 2014
Cannot imagine that it will travel well The fabric was quite nice and the pockets were nicely done. I really don't understand travel wear without pockets. My pockets are always filled with random travel necessities; so, I was very excited this skirt. The skirt ran a little tight and I thought about ordering up, except the buttons make this an amazingly impractical skirt. As with button-front clothing, the buttons pull as you move or sit down. When the clothing item is roomy AND the button placket is deep-set, this might not be a problem. However the buttons are only about a centimeter from the edge of the fabric, so any movement at all makes the skirt gap which would be a problem in any size for me. I would love to see a similarly designed skirt without the buttons! September 19, 2013
Improved? maybe not My travel luggage is a big day pack, and things get pretty smushed. I put the skirt on today right out of the shipping envelope to see if creases would shake out as I wore it --- Yes! No iron! Quick Dry! Super-light! Five stars for that! But --- the pockets, unlike those on my 10 year old beige Ultimate Twill skirt, are MUCH too shallow to keep things inside them when I sit down. Minus a star and a half for that. Travel clothes need functional pockets!. And, like many others, I'm replacing the oddly chosen brown buttons on the black skirt with black ones. Half a star off. May 17, 2013
Fur Magnet! The black skirt is not a good wardrobe addition if you have pets --because the supplex is prone to static, it pulls dust and fur onto it from yards away. As I do with other black items in my wardrobe, I took it off when I came home and hung it up -- in the morning it had cat fur front and back, waist to hem, I'm hoping a few washings help -- my other (beige, and older)TravelSmith skirt is not such an enthusiastic fur-catcher. One Was Not Enough! I have both black and navy blue, very comfortable and yet stylish. I can wear to work as a teacher and dress it up or just going to the store with the family very casually. May 28, 2013
Creases won' t iron out I have purchased this skirt in black, loden, and kahki. very practical for travel. I don't like the tortoise shell buttons on the black skirt. Not fashionable with many tops. I had to replace the buttons with black ones. Recently I purchased the Khaki skirt and it came with creases which will not come out! I have washed it numerous times to try to get the folded looking creases out. Tried lots of fabric softener. Tried ironing. No LUCK. the khaki shirt is unwearable. November 13, 2012
Very Disappointed This skirt just came and I am very disappointed! Instead of the twill fabric that I expected, it is a very thin polyester and nylon. It is not like any twill that I have ever seen. Very flimsy. For the price of the skirt I am surprised that the fabric is of such low quality. I am returnihg it immediately. August 24, 2012
