Women's 11-Pocket Voyager Vest 4.4 5 146 146
Great for travel and daily use This is the second purchase of this vest I've made within a year. I discovered that I use it everyday just to have a lot of stuff handy without having to carry a purse. It has plenty of pockets that discreetly accommodate my phone, eyeglasses, notebook, pen, keys, credit cards, money, etc. This means that I can do shopping hands-free during he cooler months (which is 2/3 of the year here in our city) -- so liberating! I have of course used it on long car trips as well. I haven't used it during summer yet, but I suspect that I will be wearing it whenever the temperature is below 75 degrees F. The only "flaw" I've found is that one has to be very sure that the zipper slider is pulled as far down in its slot when zipping the jacket up. It can be very frustrating until you get used to positioning it properly. Other than that, I think it is a clean-looking and very functional vest. The xs size fits me perfectly, a rare find for petites! January 23, 2015
Why do they sew the top of the outside pockets? This is a nice travel vest with a lot of useful pockets. I am puzzled about one thing. They have these nice large outside pockets but have chosen to sew the top quarter inch of the pockets through all of the layers which makes the opening to these roomy pockets much harder to get larger objects in and out. For example you can place a medium size paperback book in the outside pockets but not a large paperback. This is easily fixed by using a seam ripper or small pair of scissors and getting rid of the top quarter inch of the top seam on either sides of the outside pockets (be careful you don’t cut through the seams that keeps the pocket attached to the vest or punch a hole through the fabric) which allows for the pocket to be opened fully and for you to be able to hold much larger objects. This is especially true for the outside cell phone pocket, if you don’t open these seams I guarantee there isn’t a big enough opening to slip in your cell phone. It would be so easy to exclude this extra top seam and make these pockets even more useable without making the vest look less stylish. I certainly hope Travelsmith considers this modification in the future. January 10, 2012
Very Nice Travel Vest I was hesitant when I ordered this vest-thinking it would be too boxy. I ordered a medium and it was true to size, with room for layers underneath. Very nice looking and not boxy at all! Can't wait to wear it without having to carry a purse for my belongings. December 31, 2014
Excellent purchase I tried the "lightweight" and relatively expensive Scottevest a couple years back and found it too warm to wear except in the coolest weather. Also it had more pockets than I needed personally, and one in which I lost change irretrievably. Honest. (I would have had to cut the jacket open to get to it. Instead, I gave the jacket plus the change to the Goodwill.) Given the reviews here, I ordered a Medium instead of my usual Large. It fits well. In fact, I think it's quite smart-looking. There are just enough pockets, including an interior pocket that holds my iPad MINI perfectly. I don't foresee needing a purse during an upcoming visit to Europe. I'll look good too. :) December 9, 2014
Great vest excellent weight, quality, and plenty of pockets to free hands. Looks great , wears even better! January 2, 2015
Replacing one I wore to death I bought two TS vests a year ago, and loved them. In fact, I wore my charcoal one so often that I decided to replace it. The new vest seems a bit larger, but is acceptable. I know I'll wear it a lot as well. This time, I also bought the same vest in Khaki and was very disappointed with the fit. Though it was marked Large, it was about an inch wider and longer than the charcoal colored one. Obviously its size had been mislabeled. It's going back. All my returns to TS have been about size. Maybe Quality Control should look into your tolerances for dimension. December 15, 2014
Large was XL or XXL? I bought two TS vests a year ago, and loved them. In fact, I wore them so often I decided to replace them. I bought two more, in charcoal and in khaki. The new charcoal vest seems a bit larger, but is acceptable. But the Khaki one was huge. Though it was marked Large, it was about an inch wider and longer than the charcoal colored one. Obviously it had been mislabeled. It's going back. All my returns to TS have been about size. Maybe Quality Control should look into your tolerances for dimension. December 15, 2014
Excellent Value We like the product because we travel a lot and is so convenient and we like its safety since we go into some unsafe areas. December 23, 2014
