Rated 5 out of 5 by Does not run big as some say Very nice jacket, perfectly pressed look out of the box. Got 44L for guy who wears 40 waist pants (although they're always loose on him). Fits perfect with just golf shirt, but exchanging for bigger for room for looser shirts or even light sweater. Definitely recommend, espec sale price. I think we'll have to pay for RFID one just to get 46L (darn it!). September 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Jacket I purchased this jacket for our 3 week trip to Italy, France and Amsterdam. I wanted both a daily wear jacket and a little something to dress up for nicer occasions. The jacket arrived wrinkled but with fingers crossed (I didn't know washable sport coats existed) I threw it in the washer and then dried it following instructions. It fit perfectly before and after washing. Our first leg was nearly a 20 hour day ending in Milan. The jacket was perfect and looked great as we ate at an upscale restaurant. The next day was a train ride to our next stop. Then tragedy struck. I had my jacket draped over my suitcase and when my wife moved the suitcase the jacket fell between the suitcase wheels and the pavement. She went maybe 50 feet before we noticed. I was sure the jacket was ruined, it certainly looked ruined. But when we got to the hotel a quick wipe down with a damp wash cloth and while not perfect, it was ready to go again. I wore the jacket everyday. Once it was jammed behind bags in overhead storage. It was severely wrinkled but amazingly enough those fell out in a couple of hours. On the way home I stuffed it into my checked baggage. When we got home it was well wrinkled and showed the scars from its continual use. We just popped it into the washer and it came out looking new, no evidence of hard use. I wore it a couple of days later to an important business function. It's a great jacket and can serve as a windbreaker or as something to wear to dinner. As others have posted, it's really not suited for hot weather but it's great below 80. June 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost bullet proof I've had the suit for about six months. Both the jacket and pants required alterations to get a good fit. I had it hemmed, sleeves altered, and the jacket was taken in. The most rigorous test was living in the suit for three days. One day sitting on planes and then a late jacket and tie dinner, one day of meetings, late dinner, and taxis. The last day was an 18 hour day, jacket and tie meetings in the AM and then about 10 hours of airport and flights. I threw the jacket in a loosely packed duffel bag for the last 10 hours. After all that the jacket looks wrinkle free, like it could go on forever. The pants look good in the front but there are some "sitting" wrinkles that have not cleared after sitting on a hanger for 12 hours. I think a few wrinkles back there are inevitable, the creases are spotless including the knee area. After 30 years of riding planes, this suit holds up better than anything I've ever owned including those $1500+ fine tropical weight wools. All that was the good. Now for the bad. The cloth is heavy. You don't want to be outside where it's warm. If you are one of those people that is always warm, forget this garment. I would characterize this suit as three season. NOT for summer. August 5, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Pleasant Surprise Although I purchased this blazer for a trip to South America next spring, I find that I am wearing it regularly for all occasions at which a blazer is appropriate. As an aging lawyer, I can't say how many blue blazers I have been through but there has been a lot of them. The feel and fit of this coat seems to be as good as many jackets that I have paid twice as much for. Although I anticipated that I would have to have a local tailor fit the jacket, it fit naturally and comfortably without alteration....quite pleased.... February 5, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by A really good traveller's suit I am on my third suit now from Travel Smith and am very pleased with the product. I travel extensively as part of my job, and usually travel in my suit, often having to step off the plane into a meeting. I need a suit that I can sleep in for 18 hours, stow the jacket in a locker above the seat, and expect to look good on arrival. This suit's predecessors (I buy the sports and jacket and pants together to make a suit) were made of microfiber and were very resilient, and almost impossible to crease. But they lost overall shape after a year of hard work and started to look dowdy. This wool combination is much smarter and holds it's shape better. It has a nice sheen which looks good. Although the wool means that some sitting creases in the pants do not hang out quickly, the suit still stays very good looking. I have worn these trousers and jacket every day for a 14 day trip, and it still looks good. Any spills or accidents can easily be washed out under a tap in the hotel room, and the cloth looks good as new I n the morning. I no longer use hotel dry cleaners and see my clothes suffer the punishment that this can inflict. On the whole, a really good buy. I now buy the jacket with two pairs of pants sob that the extra wear on the pants keeps pace with the jacket. An excellent product for the regular traveller. October 5, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great travel jacket Lots of interior pockets and looks 'dressy;' for those special travel dinners or business. Do let people know the slacks are matching to enable people to make it a sui0---a real cudo especially for those that want to purchase two sets of slacks for a suit. #slacks are a bit pricey which ends to be evaluated. Not too many people will purchase slacks for $99 on their own, but as part of a suit--yes.# Jacket was quite reasonable, especially on sale. Travel Smith tends to be a bit pricey on many of their products for the value, and sales would probably jump if true pricing became more realistic and inline with the market. April 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by wrinkles After reading the high reviews of this item I thought I'd get one. After I received it, I thought I must have been reading reviews for a different coat. When it arrived it had wrinkles from shipping that have never gone away. I took it on a three week trip, packed, neatly folded. When I took it out of the suitcase, it looked like I had slept in it. I tried hanging it out. I tried the steam in the bathroom method. Nothing has worked. Short of getting someone to iron it, it will continue to look like it was slept in. I will probably return it. I'd really appreciate a comment from Travel Smith on this. October 19, 2011
