Washed-Linen Summer Shirt 3.5 5 2 2
Confidence Booster I understand that it's going to sound like I'm exaggerating, but I swear that I'm not. Never in my life have I owned a piece of clothing that has drawn the sheer number of compliments that this one does. Seriously, every time I wear it, people remark on the color, the design or the fabric. And not just one or two people. Like, multiple people, every time. I'd wear one of these shirts every single day if it wouldn't look like a sad, little cry for attention on my part. Now, there are two kinds of people when it comes to linen: Those who prefer a pressed look (and will go to great lengths to keep a crease in everything they wear), and those who like the casual, relaxed look of linen in its natural state (washed, hung up and handsome). I subscribe to the latter school of thought. It's not that this shirt, when left unironed, looks sloppy or slouchy. Not at all. It just looks relaxed. Comfortable. Maybe even a little confidently insouciant. What man doesn't need a little devil-may-care style in his life? Plus, linen is so cool when it's hot outside... It's a brilliant fabric for summer weather. But these shirts aren't gossamer thin at all. The fabric is robust enough to wear nearly year round. Finally, a confession: I own this shirt in three colors. Another confession: I'm seriously considering adding the rest of the range. July 18, 2014
Buy this if you like the wrinkled look! Seriously wrinkly, but makes you look extremely casual, I suppose. July 9, 2014
