Women's ShedRain Packable Anorak 4 5 24 24
Very useful I like the fact that this is slightly generous and can be worn as an extra layer over another jacket or heavy sweater. It's going to be a very useful, compact addition to my wardrobe. Very packable. Pretty stylish considering. I got basic black for versatility but I think the print would give it a style edge. August 5, 2014
Good purchase I was happy to find that it fit a little loosely. I like the feel of it. The zipper tends to catch a little, which concerns me. I wish the manufacturer put in instructions as to how to fold the jacket back into its pocket, because I am clueless! August 6, 2014
Awful I was not just disappointed, I was really angry. I bought this coat for a business trip to a northern country, and found myself in a rainy weather without a coat that would help. This one was not possible to wear - the hood does not have a stripe to make it tight so that it stays on your head. When I worked it was blown off my head with air, when I was just standing - it was blown off with the wind. It also has two pockets only which are not secure and cannot keep money or card, or travel document, so that I had to constantly reach to my bag to take those off and put them back. As the result, all the staff in my bag was wet. Adding to that a boxy feet you get a really disappointing product. The worst part was that I could not easily buy another coat, and if I even have time to do so, it would be crazy expensive, not a spending I would plan for Sweden. June 9, 2013
Keeping dry I bought one of these jackets for myself last year, and then this one for my Mom. We have lots of rainy days in South Florida in the summertime. These jackets folded up and kept in the car, are always available to keep us dry when the rains come our way. Fit is great, very comfortable, and does the job without added weight in our hot temperatures. July 1, 2014
Cute But Not Perfect This jacket is cute, but there are a couple of things I do not like. First, it folds into its own pocket which would be fine if I knew how to do it. No instructions are given and, after 15 minutes, I gave up. The jacket does not wrinkle so I will just pack it as I do my other clothing. The second thing I do not like is the drawstring. It is the strangest one I've ever seen. It consists of one large loop coming out of only one side and it is found on the outside of the jacket. Weird!! But, I do like the jacket and plan to keep it even with its flaws. July 26, 2013
Ordered this for a trip and wanted something chic but practical. Jacket is a bit stiff and the drawstring is on the outside kind of odd. Not as nice as I was hoping but it does fold up small. Maybe with some wear it will get a softer feel. Haven't worn it out in the rain yet so don't know if it will be resistent or if I will get wet. The pattern is very nice and it will be lightweight which is a big factor for me since it is hot in the spring and summer. Hope this helps. March 28, 2014
Great for travel - keep in car; folding directions I bought one of these several years ago, and keep it in the seat-back pocket in my car. You'll definitely want to insert a drawstring (long shoelace) in the hood. VERY simple to do. Just pick out a few stitches in the hem of the hood near the neck on each side (overstitch a couple of stitches to keep it from unraveling back). Insert shoelace through the hem at the edge of hood all the way around, and knot the ends. Note that the material really does shed water - can hold your arm under a running faucet and water just falls off. However the seams are not actually sealed/waterproof, so if you get caught in constant heavy rain, it will eventually seep through the seams. It's also quite easy to fold into the pocket: 1. Turn pocket with clip inside out so it's sticking out. 2. Zip up jacket. Hold at shoulders and fold in entire jacket & hood in half lengthwise (back to back) and lay it on the floor (pocket against floor). 3. Bring both arms to front and lay them lengthwise down folded jacket. 4. Fold hood all the way down flat against jacket. 5. Fold each side lengthwise to center (the long zipper should be facing you, running down the middle.). 6. Fold down top about 8", then fold over again. Fold bottom up about 8" - should have a 7" x 8" rectangle with the pocket still hanging off the corner of the bottom side. 7. By now you can see how the pocket can "swallow" the jacket. Just slide the square into the gaping zipper pouch/pocket, pulling the pouch up around it. It will take a little maneuvering, but it's easy to flatten out. If you folded nicely, your jacket will be fairly wrinkle-free when you go to wear it. Voila! April 4, 2014
Like it Ordered mine before I needed it so I could address issues others brought up. The cord used to adjust fit is on the outside, but is easy to use. Pull a little cord through the clip on left side, and more than that on the cord running around the back & right side, and it works just fine. The hood will blow around and maybe off because it's so light. I tested the fit and sewed a couple of small folds in the hood, down near the throat, plus another on the mid-seam in the back. A couple of stitches in each place and you're done. I got my jkt on sale. I think full price is a bit much. I really like the leopard print. March 4, 2014
