Men's Bush Poplin Convertible Pants 4.2 5 29 29
Repeat User wants more colors I have purchased the cotton convertibles over the years. I am 5'9". the short size and waist offering is the main reason why I am a repeat buyer. This size fits me perfectly. I like the cotton version for travel and I think theyi are a little more dressy than the nylon. Cotton is cooler and safer on the body when sitting on a plane or car. I also use these at when I am at driving events where cotton or nomex is required. I zip off the legs when I am not driving. I did have a pair of The nylon which are great for activities where weight and the ability to dry fast is required, like traveling in a boat or dealing with wet weather. These pants have excellent construction and hold up well. I had one pair that I thought wore out prematurely and you replaced them at no charge. Another reason I am a repeat customer. These pants offer some zippered pockets that are some of the best protection against pickpockets in my travels. Could you please offer these pants in BLACK or return the GREEN color again? Please keep these pants in stock ALWAYS since they are a must have for travel. September 16, 2013
Great Purchase Great purchase, fit well but the real test will come soon when these pant get a good workout on our vacation. April 15, 2015
Cargo looking pants Baggy in the leg and seat area and tight in the waist. Fabric is ok (cotton). Nice idea but didn't work for him March 27, 2015
Beware of Size Buyers of the Men's Bush Poplin Convertible Pants with adjustable waist need to be aware that the sizing of these pants is not the same as the ComfortSizer Waistband pants. These pants adjust DOWN in waist size whereas the ComfortSizer pants adjust for higher sizes. Thus, purchasing a 38 waist is good for 36-38 in the Bush Poplin. I am returning my pants for this reason and this reason only. The pants appear to be well made and designed except for the sizing issue. It would be best if TravelSmith were to include a notice for all of their adjustable waist pants as to whether the size adjustment is for that size and below or that size and above..... I bought two pairs of Comfortizer in size 38 and they fit great going up in size..... February 7, 2015
Best convertibles I have several pairs of these pants because I wear convertibles a lot and these are the best I've found. Lots of secure pockets, material has great hand, easy to clean. I don't like that the length of the shorts has increased over the years but I guess they have to keep pace with everyone else. I use them for travel, work, and play. The only place they didn't work well was when we were in tick infested woods as there are too many places for ticks to hide. Other than that, I wear a pair almost every day in the summer because the the temperature changes so much here near the lake. March 25, 2011
not a good fit I really like the material but the butt and legs were super large. Looked very baggy on my husband. February 10, 2015
Great Pants, great Company! I returned because tight in upper leg and fabric is to heavy. I pack very light for "carry on" only.I wish Travel Smith had a "Carry on" line for airline travelers that will not check in any luggage. February 4, 2015
Lots of Secure Pockets I have an older pair of these pants, which I use on my backpacking trips. There are many secure (i.e., zipper) pockets that protect valuables from getting lost. The material is 100% nylon that is light, tough, soft, and dries quickly - perfect for backpacking - and much better than anything that REI sells. Unfortunately, as is usually the case nowadays, Travelsmith has changed the pants by switching to cotton, which is also tough and soft, but not light or quickly drying. The pants are now only good instead of perfect. May 31, 2011
