Waterproof Double-Collar Raincoat 4.3 5 32 32
High functioning, stylish ... I am 5' 2", 140 lbs and carry a little excess weight in my tummy. Since top designers are having clothing made in China and other countries where sizing is on the small size, I ordered a size L to layer cold weather clothing, sweaters etc. Although I prefer less bulk in in the body of a coat and a little less tailored look (hate belts), I feel fortunate to have found a coat with all the above attributes. Function is what I like best, especially the deep, ample size of pockets which make it easy to get gloves + keys in and out. May 6, 2015
Great lightweight raincoat I just received this raincoat. It is very light weight and folds up into a travel pouch. I am plump, about 5' and ordered a size PL. It is knee length on me. The sleeves are a good length. When I tried it on with a t shirt the chest did seem big compared to the fit in the hips. However, I tried it with a blazer and it fit fine. I think it will be great for layering on a European trip this fall. April 19, 2015
best ever! I searched for a truly water proof raincoat for several years. This rain coat from Travel Smith is it. It can be rolled up without wrinkling; it can withstand rainfall without any water seeping through the fabric like so many others do; it is a perfect fit for me( 5'4", 130 pounds, size Medium). I wore it in humid weather and didn't feel clammy. I bought the liner but haven't had an opportunity to wear that yet. I'm sure I will in the fall. I heartily recommend this raincoat. April 14, 2015
Perfect for travel or everyday! Although purchased for travel, this is my favorite coat for everyday. I have worn my black coat for several years & it is as good as new. I eventually bought the red for a more colorful change of pace. I travel for two & three months at a time, stuffing my coat into a tote or carry-on. It does not wrinkle, is machine washable, & is truly waterproof (although it does not actually look waterproof). I love the detachable hood & durable zipper. I layer in cool weather, rather than adding the bulk of a liner. I am 5'1", so the petite is proportioned well for me. I hope this style remains a standard item, as I will purchase more colors in the future. My coat has traveled the world & looks at home wherever it goes! April 14, 2015
comfortable and looks great The material is lightweight, soft, and drapes nicely. Cozy on a chilly day without adding weight. On cross-country flights where it was repeatedly crunched into overhead compartments, it was wrinkle-free and made me look put together (a feat in itself) whenever I wore it. Love the detachable hood - don't have to carry an umbrella unless a deluge is predicted. I'm 5'4" and 130 pounds, and the medium fits nicely and falls to the top of my knee. (I don't like tightly fitted clothes but also don't wear things that hang shapelessly.) It was a big investment but I'm very happy with this purchase. April 11, 2015
Good lightweight coat for travel and everyday. I needed an in-between coat for spring and fall. I really wanted the red which was sold out in my size so got the versatile camel. It's a nice enough coat. I haven't tested waterproof quality yet. It is lightweight ( I didn't get or need the optional and extra liner) which makes it feel a little lesser in quality. The fit is roomy enough for the use I will make of it. If you get a liner and expect to wear several layers under, it might be a little tight. People who describe trouble with the zipper must not have had small children or themselves worn clothes with double ended zippers. It's no big problem. The coat was very wrinkled when I got it and I had to steam it before first wear. We'll see how it does after being folded into its bag. March 27, 2015
Lightweight Raincoat This jacket is lightweight, compact for travel, and well made. The red color was bright, difficult to describe, not a fire engine red color that I was hoping for. I returned it for this reason. March 20, 2015
One main concern Just received this raincoat, and got the liner also. The two together are comfy and flattering, although not as warm as I expected But, I have one real concern- the center zipper is exposed. Usually in a raincoat I expect a flap to lay over the zipper, as protection against wind or rain. But on this coat the flaps on either side of the zipper meet in the middle, leaving the zipper exposed. This seems like a weird oversight to me. We have not had any rain recently in Northern California, so I cannot test it out. I may send it back - have not yet decided. March 12, 2015
