Navy Trench Jacket 4 5 1 1
Nice - but.... This jacket has much to recommend it, though I do have reservations. First of all, the size is quite a bit smaller than I expected. I almost always order "small" for jackets, tops, etc., but this was way too tight -- oddly enough, in the hips (which you cannot tell from the photo, in which it seems to flair out comfortably). Despite the shiny fabric, the color is somewhat dull, though it will certainly go with pretty much anything because it doesn't leap out at you. The sleeves are too long, necessitating a quick stitch or two to pin them up (not a big deal). And the one remaining caveat is that the snap that holds the belt on the jacket in the back (a wonderful feature in theory) is placed so that you have to tie the belt way over to the right side to keep it from flipping over and sticking out. As I usually tie my belts on the left, I'll have to get used to this. Having said all this, it is a very well-made and very light-weight jacket that is very cute when worn open at the neck (as in the photo). [When closed, it is far less appealing.] I do think it is overpriced, but as it is difficult to find a stylish, light-weight jacket, it does fill a niche. November 14, 2012
