Packable Pro Travel Mirror 3.6 5 35 35
Defective design. I was excited to find what appeared on paper to be a great travel mirror but everything about it is wrong. The angle is wrong, it sits too low on the desk, and the magnification is wrong as I cannot see my whole face as the description promises. I have to lean way down and bring my face very close to it to get a clear image of a very small area of my face. At this point, I am too close to the mirror to be able to use an eyeliner brush. I am going back to traveling with a much smaller and wafer thin mirror that I got free with a cosmetic purchase. I wish I had returned this packable mirror as it was a waste of money. March 16, 2013
Can't see my face -- viewing area too small I have been trying to find a lighted travel magnifying mirror for some time and appear to be one of those people who can't use one well. I can only see a tiny part of my face when I can get anything in focus, and I really can't maneuver around to see other areas without having to start all over. I'm so close to the mirror by the time I've got something in focus that it's frustrating . So back it goes. I wonder if wearing glasses (and needing to wear glasses) is the reason for this, as various reviewers have such different reviews for this mirror. The light is not really adequate -- could be quite a bit brighter. I really like that it uses the common AA batteries instead of those exotic kinds you can't find, and it seems to be made well. I really like the on-off switch as well. The viewing angle is wrong for me also -- I had to hold it up in the air to get it to work at all. Not the right product for me, I guess. March 20, 2014
packable pro travel mmirror I've been looking for something like this for quite a while. I have a regular make-up mirror in my bathroom that is a 10x on one side and regular on the other. I only use the 10x. This travel mirror will be great to pack and use in hotels as most hotels have dim lighting and the make-up mirrors in their bathrooms are usually weak. I tried using it on my counter, and it worked just great-lighting and magnifying. You do have to get your face close to the mirror, but I also have to do that with my regular one. It sells on another website for $49.99, but I was lucky to find a better price on travel smith. February 9, 2015
Great magnification The manification is unbelievable and the lightness of the mirror definitely make it worth packing. The only problem/issue I have is you need to be close to the mirror to see yourself. Maybe propping it up on something would help. It definitely was worth purchasing and will accompany me on my travels as well as home use. February 10, 2015
One size magnification does not fit all I guess I assumed that this mirror would include a 1x magnification, but it doesn't. With the 10x magnification I have to get so close to the mirror for it to focus that I can't even see my whole face at one time. Just isn't good for a make up mirror. Maybe good for minor surgery. Not what I expected For starters it was larger than I estimated by the size listed . But the most inconvenient feature was the 10x magnification with out a baseline . Not very useful for my age and limited visual acuity. Unfortunately I had to return it for these reasons. January 28, 2015
Not for traveling. Just be careful to note the measurements and the weight. It is a large, heavy mirror. Too big and heavy to pack when luggage space and/or weight is limited. May 15, 2014
Not for putting on makeup The magnification is x15 which means that your face must be within an inch or two of the mirror in order to focus. Fine for discovering a hair on your chin but not for putting on makeup. Not practical for me to keep. Disappointed that postage both ways was very expensive. November 18, 2014
