Packable Reversible Accordion-Hood Coat 4.5 5 55 55
Great new coat The coat is very light weight and comfortable. The color is true to the picture displayed on the website. The fabric will be excellent to help repel moisture and I am happy it is machine washable and light weight for packing during travel. April 18, 2014
pretty coat Purchased this in the navy/teal combo. love the material and color and that it is reversible. Coat is bell shaped, quite a bit larger and not fitted. the hood is big and has no way to adjust it to keep it from blowing down when windy. but overall a dressy coat which can be worn in the rain. Have not worn it in a downpour so cannot testify to its waterproofness. Material packs well. April 18, 2014
Just beautiful! I love this coat!! On the form vs function scale, this is firmly on the form side. It's a truly lovey coat. As far as fit, I have a "pear shaped" figure - larger in the hips than the shoulders. This coat has an A-line cut, loose in the hip, and it fits me perfectly. I got the Navy/Peacock and the navy is the very dark, almost black color. I haven't worn mine in the rain yet but I don't expect it to keep me dry in a heavy downpour. If that's what you want, try one of the outdoor outfitters and buy something in Goretex. However I expect it will do beautifully, and I do mean beautifully, keeping me dry between valet parking and the restaurant door!!. The hood makes an absolutely lovely collar. You do have to hold it up if you want do completely cover your head in the rain but that's the price you pay to not have Velcro straps and ugly drawstrings!! If they bring back the black/bronze color shown in one of the pictures, I'll buy it in that color too. April 16, 2014
BEAUTIFUL ! I bought two similar coats back when the original designer sold them through Nordstrom, though the hoods were not accordion pleated. They are light-weight, really tough (fell on an outdoor escalator at BART, and the material was impervious, though my knees were scratched), and the colors do not fade. I'd wanted a shorter version, and am thrilled to get this. My only problem is that I have silky fine hair so the hood tends to blow back, baring my head and face to rain. Now if I could figure out how to thread a cord through the hood's opening to cinch it like a hoodie! Also, the coats are only rain resistant, but do well enough in moderate rains. March 31, 2014
This is a lovely windbreaker and perfect for traveling. It is very lightweight and true to size. I got it on sale and think it was a very good buy. March 28, 2014
Hoping for rain! Can't wait to wear this raincoat! Actually, it could double as a light coat in cool weather. I love the color--silver and black--and the flattering fit. It is very light weight so it won't overload your suitcase. Haven't tried to fold it into the bag yet. March 27, 2014
Beautiful Functionl Coat Beautiful colors, perfect light weight, fits very well. March 27, 2014
Beautify Any Rainy Day! I coveted the peacock/navy packable reversible accordion-hood coat for about a year, but was hesitant to buy for 3 reasons: the cost, I wasn't sure whether it was made of a plastic material, and I wasn't sure I wanted to give up the zip-in liner on the trenchcoat I've had since high school (35 years!#. I finally ordered it during the latest sale, and am VERY pleased with the quality and the style. The material is a beautiful woven blend, which feels and looks like silk! It may actually be a satin-polyester blend, as it definitely repels water. My only negative comment at all is that the hood kind of fits funny, and doesn't stay when I cover my head with it, unless I hold it in place. It seems to want to pull back towards the middle of my head. But this is a minor issue. And the lack of an insulated liner is now fine with me. I have found that there is plenty of space under the raincoat, #which I bought a size smaller than usual) to wear sweaters. I'll be using this raincoat year-round! March 27, 2014
