Travel often requires a flexible mindset and nerves of steel—at the same time. It's that same soft/hard, yin/yang paradox that informs this flexible-yet-tough roller bag. Made from a hybrid construction of durable polyester and tough polycarbonate that boasts the same strength-to-weight ratio as steel, this upright expands 2", protects like a hardside case and flexes like a softside case so you can pack last-minute items. Inside, there's a front compartment with three zip mesh pockets, plus a two-sided main compartment with winged mesh compression straps. This bag also provides versatile packing space and minimizes wrinkles, thanks to the floating divider that separates heavier items (like shoes) from carefully packed clothing. Features a sleek two-tone exterior with a quick-access zip pocket, four 360° double-spinner wheels with hubcaps, lockable two-way zippers and a grooved telescoping handle that resists bending. Top and side handles and a bottom grip for easy lifting. Polycarbonate/polyester; poly lining. Imported. A TravelSmith exclusive.

"Very disappointed - I was excited to see this luggage set which I thought would combine the best of hard and soft sides. However, it looks and feels inexpensive and the handles and wheels are poorly attached. I had trouble getting the zippers to go all the way around and thaI would not recommend this product."

"Good bag, but gets dirty easily - Have had this bag for about a year now. Bought it for a Mediterranean cruise last summer because I wanted to change from 2-wheel luggage to 4. I like the size and configuration of the bag. Having the book-like opening for the main compartment does a great- I recommend this product."

"Smaller than expected and durability in question. - This suitcase looks great. Very light. about 7 1/2 pounds. But when I packed the the 26 inch I currently have and then tried to pack the same stuff into this one, I ran out of suitcase before I ran out of stuff. I tried to use the expansion but realized tI would not recommend this product."

"Awful smell but nice design - We bought 2 of these suitcases--not on sale-- before an international trip last spring. They arrived and the smell was simply awful. I can't tell you how many hours I spent trying to get rid of the smell. Febrese--no. Put out in the sun--no. Washed with sI would not recommend this product."

"I call this bag Scar Face - This bag is attractive, a good size, easy to maneuver, and light weight. So why not a better rating? The finish on the hard side of this bag is not durable at all. It even got scratched up on its first trip to my sister's house. The only thing I could detI would not recommend this product."

"Smaller than 26" S1 version - I purchased the 26" Series S1 last year and love it because it is so light. Also bought the 30" but find that it exceeds the 50lb airline limit before it is actually full and when not full items shift and wrinkle because of all the movement so I wanted aI would not recommend this product."

"Nice Size Bag for European Walking Trek - This suitcase has zipped sections for clothing, shoes. The plastic back with fabric makes it light-weight & with the 4 wheels the 26" is easy to manage.I have NOT used it yet and am taking it on a walking trek to Iceland next summer.- I recommend this product."

"LOVE THE SUITCASE BUT NOT THE DEFECTS - I purchased this suitcase for its size and weight. On my first trip I found it difficult to lift into my car, etc. without a handle on the side and thought this was odd. At the end of my trip I discovered the siding had come apart in one section, like it- I recommend this product."

"looks 20 years old after one trip - Bought this piece for a short trip from Tampa to NYC. The polycarbonate side (I assume this is plastic-like side.) is not tough at all. It is gouged after one trip. I originally had order a Lipault piece, but since it was delayed, I opted for this piece.I would not recommend this product."

"Good Suitcase but Picture is Wrong - My husband admired my S1 suitcase, and needed a new suitcase, so I bought him the S2 as a gift. He loves the light weight and the support of the hard shell side - but the picture is deceiving - there is no handle on the side, only on the top. Happily he's- I recommend this product."

"Excellent - Exactly what I was looking for. Have been looking for a suitcase for over a year. This one has a smart design. I especially like the double zipped front area. I never use those pockets on the front of the suitcase and consider those a waste of weight. Thi- I recommend this product."

"HAVE ISSUE WITH QUALITY - I returned this suitcase because the zipper on the extension feature ended at the mid point of the suitcase. There was a double set of teeth at that point of the zipper, but there was no way to secure them with a lock. I have two other expandable suitcaseI would not recommend this product."

"Great Luggage! - After using the S1 for years, it was time for an upgrade. The S1 is still in good shape, but since I travel so often I wanted to test out the hard side/soft side hybrid concept. It's great! Benefits of both combined with great organization features, light- I recommend this product."

"Checking it out - Have traveled 7 continents, gone thru many bags. Bought this on the description, the hybrid qualities, and light weight. Have not yet used it, but having it in my hands, I am encouraged by the features. One thing to note: the wheels are part of the dimens- I recommend this product."
