Rated 4 out of 5 by Everyday compression socks Expensive, but stylish and comfortable. I've been wearing Travelsox for several years. They serve the purpose without the expense or ugliness of medical-quality compression socks. October 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Like these socks I always wear compression socks when I travel and on days I will be on my feet most of the day. What I like about these socks is the gradual compression up just below my knee. Some of the socks bind at this point but these do not. Socks like this are expensive but worth every penny. . Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Travel socks I got these both for the compression and for the quick dry claim. The compression works great. My legs were not tired after a full day of flying and airports. I washed them out in the hotel sink and less than twelve hours later they were bone dry. Even the cushion! September 3, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice sock-perhaps check your measurements I'm 5'4 , 120 lbs, reasonably good health, moderately active, a few varicose veins. Objective-hoping to relieve leg aches on the plane as well as during LOTS of walking in Europe. Travelsox is a well-advertised brand, so thought I'd give it a shot. First the good news-sock offers thick padding and a supported arch footbed. I wish it had fit, but must return. I haven't seen meaningful measurements offered by anyone, so for what it;s worth, here goes. I wear a size 8 women's shoe, so the information provided said I would wear a Med. ( womens' 6 1/2-8 1/2). However an inch of thick was sock left over at the end of my toes -just too much to fit into my shoes or turn under. I can only imagine how much extra there would have been for a smaller size foot which fell into the "MED" bracket. My inner leg measures 12 1/2" from top of ankle bone to indentation where calf ends just below the knee. There is a 12" circumference at that point. At that place on my leg, the sock's regular thickness ended and the doubly thick and quite firm 2 inch top cuff began. The cuff is too tight to come up onto or over the knee, and too thick and tight to turn over. For someone taller than I, with a longer foot and a skinny leg, this might have been a wonderfully comfortable sock. I am keeping the "Sockwell Damask compression sock in size M/L at $25 which I also got from TravelSmith and have found a nice-fitting lighter weight sock at The Walking Company store for $15. Hope this was helpful. July 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Socks!! Is it crazy to love a pair of socks?? If so, then call me crazy, because I do love these socks, and for more than one reason. I purchased them for a trip to Europe I am making months from now, because I am diabetic and want to prevent deep vein thrombosis as well as keep my legs from swelling on those long flights--but when the socks arrived, I just couldn't seem to leave them alone. So one afternoon . . . I put them on! Oh, my! My legs were in heaven! First, I felt as if my legs were being massaged; second, because the socks have built-in arch supports, I could wear almost any shoe in my closet; and third, because they are black and knee-high, I feel comfortable wearing them with any skirt I own. These socks are expensive, yes, but considering what they provide, they're one of the best buys in the TravelSmith catalog. And if you fly a lot, they just might save your life! May 31, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Compression socks At my job, I stand on my feet all day, on I'm standing on concrete floors. For quite some time I had thought about purchasing a pair of compression socks, but I was always hesitant due to the price. I received an email from Travel Smith indicating that if I purchased 2 pairs of compression socks, not only would I get them on sale, but the shipping costs would also be waived. I was sold! Now that I own the socks and have worn them, my only question is "Why did I wait so long?" These things are fabulous!! They are soft and extremely comfortable -- after standing on the concrete for over 8 hours, my legs still feel great! I couldn't be happier with my purchase! My only question now is "Why did I wait so long to purchase these?" February 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Travel Socks I liked the description given online at Travel Smith, and so took a chance at ordering these socks. I put them on, upon arrival, and was pleased with the way they felt. Fit true to size, no painful tightness, and very comfortable padding on the bottom of the feet. I have yet to try them out on a long plane ride, but having had compression socks similar to these in the past, I am certain they will serve their purpose just right. They were expensive, but the quality makes them worth the cost. Very well made. May 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Essential, if you use your feet. I fly constantly for work as well as leisure travel. These socks have become the first item on my packing checklist. I can walk without muscle spasms, fly international flights without swelling and not worry how my legs will handle the day. Remove the exterior logo that shows above low-cut shoes and they're perfect. April 16, 2015
