Updated Ultimate Twill Skirt 4 5 50 50
Ick This skirt runs very small. I read this, so ordered up a size. It still doesn't really fit right. The fabric is cheap, and it's a weird length. Too short to be a long skirt, too long to be fashionably short. I'm 5'4". I've ordered dozens of Travelsmith items, and can't recall ever returning one. This will be the first. Yuck. May 26, 2015
Too tight in the waist The skirt in size 8, my normal size is too small in the waist so I am sending it back for a size 10 and hope it fits this time. I like the skirt very much, it fit well in every place but the waist. May 25, 2015
I liked the skirt but it was too tight in the waist although it fit otherwise so I returned it. May 1, 2015
Not a good fit This is a nice looking skirt but the style did not work for me. Size 8 waist was too tight even though I normally wear a size 8, but if I had gone up a size, the rest of the skirt would have been too large, so I had to return it. April 21, 2015
What I was looking for This skirt is a nice lightweight fabric, which will be great for travel to warm countries. It is not too short or too long. And it has pockets. (ALL skirts, and pants, should have adequate pockets.) It does run a bit small, and I'm glad. I normally wear a 2 (which, unfortunately, TravelSmith's clothes never seem to come in) but decided to take a chance on the 4 (based on reviews saying the skirt runs small and is snug in the waist), and it fits OK. Disappointed Cute style/nice fabric but the elastic in the waist makes the skirt bulge out below the waist. I have to return it. April 9, 2015
Like it! Purchased a khaki one years ago and have taken it on many trips....but had to shorten it. I am usually a size 12 but need a 14 in this skirt. It saved me in Peru when I couldn't wear pants due to cellulitis. So glad to see a shortened version in black. It is comfortable, hand washes well, and dries quickly. But why use brown topstitching? Dark buttons and black thread would be more to my liking. The pockets in the back look unnecessary but I do like the ones in front. Haven't worn this one yet but plan to take it on my next trip. 5" shorter I am very happy for my petite friends that they no longer have to shorten this popular skirt. However, I am wondering what this 5'8" friend is to do now that a favorite skirt is too short. There is no extra fabric to let down and so I am totally out of luck. Another disappointment. February 22, 2015
