Washable Silk-Cotton T-Shirt 4.2 5 49 54
Great looking T My husband loves these shirts, alone or for layering. They are a great staple in his closet but now I see they are not available in all sizes and colors and it looks like they will be phased out. Is that so? Please bring back the full selection. January 31, 2015
The Perfect T-shirt This is simply a perfect T-shirt. The blue and taupe colors are rich looking, and the cotton silk fabric is subtly silky. My husband says the Ts are breathable and very comfy. I ordered them in my husband's usual size, large, and they fit him very well. They are pricey but given the quality, I think they are worth it. I washed both of these Ts on a delicate cycle, put them in the dryer for 10 mins or so on low, and hung them up to dry the rest of the way. There was no shrinkage and they dried without a wrinkle! They can be worn with long pants or shorts as well as under a blazer. They are dressier than the typical T-shirt. Give this T a try; you won't regret it! October 30, 2014
I liked the feel of the shirt. That is my opinion and I am sticking to it ! December 4, 2014
I love this tee... and so does my wife These silk-cotton tees feel great to the touch and are very well made. I have worn these as undershirts for several years now. I wore through my first set and am on my second set now. They are cool and comfortable and even when the temperature and humidity run high, this tee holds its own. This tee is a little pricey, but you get your money's worth in the long run because it lasts and lasts. Only the collar gets worn (from contact with my whiskers). You'll still wear them once the collar frays, however, just not out in public. For example, I now use my older tees as pajama tops for late spring and summer. On that note, my wife decided to try out one of my retired silk-cotton tees as a sleep shirt for herself. As an XL it is just the right length (mid-thigh) for her woman's medium frame and it is now one of her favorite year-round sleep shirts. June 22, 2010
A moment or mourning when left in a hotel room My husband loved this shirt. He wore it hard, with everything from suits, to hiking, to even nightshirt. After three years he left it in a hotel room. He was distraught when he discovered he had lost his reliable shirt that he so loved. I was delighted to find that I can replace the shirt in the same color for him. It washes in the hotel sink nicely, dries quickly without wrinkles, packs small and even after three years had minimal pills. Neither of us could recommend this shirt more highly. September 23, 2010
This is his 5th of these shirts. They run large--he usually wears a large and has two that are and he likes them loose when he plays tennis. The last two we bought are medium and he's very happy with them. Since he's losing weight, they will be perfect shortly. Very durable. His first one has been with us on African safaris, trekking in the Patagonia. It dried fast and is always comfortable. Thanks Travel Smith. August 27, 2010
Not Happy With This Product I returned my shirts. They're cut short about 2+ inches, so they won't stay tucked-in. The fabric is prone to excessive wrinkling. The collar rolls excessively making it uncomfortable around the neck. Should be hung to dry as it builds up LOTS of static in the dryer. Not the product quality I expect from my years of purchasing from TravelSmith. February 21, 2011
A bit too much wrinkles I machine wash this in a front loaded washer and hang dry. It comes out very wrinkled. I have to iron it. I don't think T-shirts should need ironing. Note, after several washes it still has retained that not-too-pleasant raw silk smell. I presume the smell will fade over time. July 18, 2010
