Rated 3 out of 5 by Just so-so I'm trying to decide whether to keep this. Pros--pretty color (blue), curvy fit flatters my figure, very light and packable, but it's probably the right warmth to wear in Europe during more affordable "shoulder" seasons, which is probably when we will do most of our traveling overseas, Cons--ordered the XLPetite(5'3", 160 lb) TWO sizes larger than normal, but is still tight over the mid-back and arms, won't accommodate a sweater, sleeves reach the end of my thumbs, double collar is VERY awkward, hood so big it encloses my entire face, too much jacket to fit the stuff sack without serious wrinkles.Hate that big useless silver snap at collar back. Definitely not worth the original price, and maybe not even worth the sale price. I'm a good seamstress and can hem the sleeves. Thinking of removing the hood and second collar, but found that these can be folded to the inside and out of the way so that only the zipped collar shows--big improvement. February 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this jacket I actually have two of these - in the blue and the cinnamon. The only negative is that the hood is not insulated like the rest of the jacket, so it provides no warmth and I can never get it to stay on my head. I just wear a hat with the jacket. The jacket runs a tad small, so if you want to wear a sweater under it, better order a size up. The jacket was overpriced at first, but it is a good buy at the sale price. It's warm because of the down, extremely light-weight and packable, and very attractive. I have received numerous compliments on it. I bought it for travel and it's perfect. January 7, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice but single snap for hood not a good thing... Like this very much except for the fact that the roll up hood does not stay put. An improvement would have been to have two additional snaps on the collar ends to enclose the hood securely when not in use. I ordered the M Petite because I wanted to be able to layer. As we are on a 10 week trip from early Sept until late Nov to see foliage in New England up into Canada, I needed something I could wear under a light raincoat if necessary and this was perfect without feeling like a penguin. Also ordered the vest with insulated hood. Wish the jacket had the insulated hood :( October 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice After reading all of the reviews I decided to order the jacket. I got it yesterday and this is what I think; the cobalt is more beautiful in person. I think the jacket runs true to size. It fits the same as all of my other packable down jackets. If you want to wear a sweater underneath it I would go up a size or two depending upon how thick your sweaters are. I am 5' 4" tall and ordered a regular. The sleeves are about 1-1/2 inches too long. I thought this might be the case when I ordered it but was hesitant to order a petite because usually the sleeves and length are too short. A petite probably would have been a better fit for me. I ordered a size small. I am a scrawny 90 pounds and knew that a small would be too big but the jacket did not come in an XS. It is too big along the sides but I can take it in. I would say a size small would better fit someone who is at least 105 pounds or more. As for the hood issue: yes, it needs two more snaps to hold in the hood but that is an easy fix. If you can sew on a button then you can sew on a couple of hidden snaps. All said I am pleased with the jacket. It is well made and perfect for chilly California winters. It is a jacket you can move in. Most down jackets make you feel like you are wrapped up like a mummy. Is is good for cold eastern winters? Probably not but it would be great when the winters warm up somewhere above freezing. January 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fit tips, etc. I LOVE this jacket. The red color is really garnet, very beautiful (although I am a sucker for a true red, so that's why I'm qualifying the color). I am a solid 14, with broad shoulders and a very large bust - the Large fits perfectly with room for a sweater under, but not too big that I swim in it if I'm in just a t-shirt. There have been some reviews about the hat not staying in. It's true, but I've come up with a solution that works great. Make sure it's folded in well, then tie the ends together as loose as you can. Stays beautifully! November 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost perfect... The moment I put on this jacket, I felt warm, cozy and in love. The touch is nice and it's lightweight without the bulk. It would be perfect, except for the ONE (1) Snap to attached the hood (could have designed it with 2-3 snaps to secure in place)....and the fact that the hood cannot be removed, makes it a nuisance. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great little jacket! I bought this jacket last month. I am a size 12 and the fit is very comfortable with room for a medium, (not to bulky) sweater underneath. It takes up less room than a pair of shoes in the suitcase and the feel is so so so very soft and wonderful. The cinnamon and champagne colors have a beautiful sheen to them. They are beautiful, extremely light weight and warm You will love this jacket. The only con I see is that the hood slides out when rolled up. I just leave mine out and it looks fine. October 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Packable and Warm I found myself in 2 very cold situations this year, and was glad I packed this jacket. The first was exploring Giant's Causeway on the Northern Ireland coast in October, and the second was visiting family in PA and IL during the holiday season record cold temps. I was toasty and warm right up to getting on the plane home (in -12 degree temps), and then stuffed the jacket into its pouch to exit the airplane in the wonderful warmth of Hawaii! I came home and ordered the vest to layer under my raincoat. January 13, 2014
